I will not hide it. It feels great, to be able to create your own tools. I recently started vibe coding, and one of the first things I tried out was to create a few tools about social media and about hive.
As you know, I had some issues with hive API, so I decided to focus and finish what was a bit easier.
Free static pages for finding out who does not follow back on social media accounts such as X, Instagram, TikTok - and for LinkedIn, the app shows info about your network, and also shows you who has not accepted your Invitation.
The below is a screenshot that the page itself produces.
The website is https://katerinaramm1.github.io/x-unfollow/ and I was surprised to see that more than 1000 were not following back
The only issue here is that you need to wait 24h to download your data.
I decided to keep things simple, free and above all safe as I am not so much experienced yet.
All data does not leave your browser, I only count metrics with simple analytics (it is all mentioned in the privacy policy)
Today I managed to create the TikTok unfollow
https://katerinaramm1.github.io/tiktok-unfollow/
It will help me decrease my following by at least 2K - as you may know, there is a limit of how many people one can follow - so removing the ones that do not support you back, is a big plus for continuing.
About the Instagram tool:
It was the first app that I created, and as such, it needs a retouche - but it is working great!
And now comes something far more professional... LinkedIn!
Here, https://katerinaramm1.github.io/linkedin-unfollow/ you can see how many of the invitations you have sent, were never accepted!
What I used it for? To get into LinkedIn and withdraw them!
Is this wasted time? Not sure, it depends It will take me sometime until I clean all my accounts, but I never did it correctly. Any tools I used in the past (mainly for Instagram) almost got me banned due to their austere third-party policy.
If I were a famous influencer, I perhaps would not care as much. But not I do care who follow and support me, and I wish to follow them back to support them too!
And this is the reason why I created those tools.
I hope they will be useful to some of you and please don't hesitate to tell me if you use any of them and if you have any feedback to share!
