Ideas Are Nothing Without Action

You spend hours every day on news and social media, reading articles and watching or listening to podcasts to stay informed, but still, when a challenge arises, you freeze and your thoughts begin to scatter, as if all that information you've been consuming had disappeared by magic.

Here is the thing, being informed is not the same as being wise or having understanding. When we consume without practice, we become passive, and passivity leaves us open to shallow trends and comfortable half-truths.

I see it in myself as much as in the people I've coached over the years. We're consuming without critical thinking. As a consequence, when we don't take an action step, we're scrolling past a thousand ideas every day that could change our lives for the better.

So here is my question for you today, how many ideas did you scroll past today without taking one single small action step?

Information overload without action really is just noise with extra steps. 🐝 Good, grounded reminder.

This is similar to one of our contest questions on motivation and consistency, where I explained that irrespective of the level of motivation we get from people around us, without a positive step to initiate consistent actions, that will bring those motivations to reality. It might be a wasted effort. Now, coming to this write-up, I agree with you. We need serious inner strength to overcome fear of the unknown and being too comfortable in our comfort zone. These are two things I found out do hold humans hostage from breaking forth with their good ideas, including meooo. Sometimes I struggle with these two things, but most times, once I win them in any situation before me, boom, I cross over. !ALIVE !BBH
