Although I have a list of anime I’ve watched that I’d like to share, I decided to start by writing my review and thoughts on the latest one I watched, since I find its plot very interesting. Even though it’s still airing, it reminded me of many beliefs surrounding photographs. The anime in question is titled:

To start with, this anime is Chinese and centers on the powers of two college students, Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, who live in an old photo studio—the kind where film is developed in a darkroom.
Now, these young people use their supernatural powers to travel back in time through photographs. Cheng Xiaoshi can enter a photograph and possess the person who took it, while Lu Guang can coordinate the time jumps and guide Cheng Xiaoshi from the present, since his power consists of seeing everything that happens in a photograph within 12 hours of it being taken—so he gives his friend strict rules to avoid altering the course of time.
These rules are:
- They only have 12 hours: The time spent inside the photograph must not exceed 12 hours.
- Cheng Xiaoshi must obey Lu Guang’s instructions at all times.
- It is forbidden to alter events.
- Cheng Xiaoshi must not ask about the future.
One of the interesting aspects of the anime is how its plot unfolds, as these two young people, along with their friend Qiao Ling, go from carrying out simple photography assignments for others to tackling deeper, more personal matters—which transforms this anime from pure science fiction into a blend of science fiction and mystery.
I don’t want to give away too many details, but I will say that there are moments when you have to pay very close attention to understand what’s happening, and you realize that what they initially thought was happening in the present was actually part of the past.
Also, as certain events unfold, the police get involved, and the main characters are forced to reveal their powers to a police chief in order to solve a case.
This anime has three seasons and a special arc between the second season and the first part of the third, titled “Link Click: Bridon Arc.”
Among its strengths is that original premise of traveling back in time through photographs, made possible by supernatural powers; it also conveys a deep emotional impact, as Cheng Xiaoshi absorbs the emotions and feelings of the people in the photos she visits, and this visibly affects her.
The mystery plot I mentioned earlier is another of its strengths, as the characters quickly go from solving commissioned cases to becoming involved in serial murders, kidnappings, and more—all of which end up intertwining with their past.
As for the animation, I feel it has evolved from its first season, which dates back to 2021, to the most recent one; as I mentioned earlier, the first part of the third season premiered its first six episodes in August of 2026, but overall, the animation is fluid and detailed.
As for the music, the animated sequences in the opening and ending credits are synchronized with the music, making them enjoyable; additionally, in one of the seasons, we’re treated to 3D animations of Cheng Xiaoshi, Lu Guang, and Qiao Ling.
Finally, although it’s a mystery and science fiction anime, humor is always present, giving viewers a break from the plot twists that make you wonder if, to save those you love, you’d break the rules. I give this anime an 8.5 out of 10.

Aunque tengo en mi lista para compartir algunos animes que he visto, decidí narrar primero mi review y opinión del último que vi, ya que su trama me parece muy interesante y, aunque todavía está en emisión, en mi caso me hizo recordar muchas creencias que giran en torno a fotografías. Ahora bien, estos jóvenes usan sus poderes sobrenaturales para viajar al pasado a través de fotografías. También, como al ocurrir algunos eventos se ve implicada la policía y los principales personajes se ven forzados a contarles de sus poderes a un comisario para poder esclarecer un caso.
Este anime cuenta con tres temporadas y un arco especial entre la segunda temporada y la primera parte de la tercera, titulado Link Click: Bridon Arc.
Entre sus puntos fuertes está esa premisa original de viajes al pasado por medio de fotografías, lograda por medio de poderes; también nos transmite una carga emocional profunda, ya que Cheng Xiaoshi asimila las emociones y sentimientos de las personas cuyas fotos visita y esto visiblemente le afecta.
La trama de misterio que ya mencioné es otro de sus fuertes, pues de resolver casos por encargo pronto pasan a verse involucrados en temas de asesinatos en serie, secuestros, y más, los cuales terminan viéndose mezclados con su pasado.
En cuanto a su animación, para mí va evolucionando desde su primera temporada, que data de 2021, hasta la más reciente; como ya comenté, la primera parte de la tercera estrenó sus primeros seis capítulos en agosto de este 2026, pero en líneas generales es fluida y detallada.
En lo que respecta a su música, las secuencias animadas de los openings y endings se sincronizan con la música y esto las hace agradables; además, en una de las temporadas nos presentan unas animaciones en 3D de Cheng Xiaoshi, Lu Guang y Qiao Ling.
Para terminar, aunque es un anime de misterio y ciencia ficción, el humor no deja de estar presente, lo que permite a los espectadores tener un descanso de los giros de trama en los que llegas a preguntarte si, por salvar a quienes amas, romperías las reglas. Yo le doy a este anime un 8,5 de 10.
