iPhone Screen Replacement

I have an iPhone 11 that is now in it's 5th year of use. It's a solid phone and I usually run my phones down till they're either lost, stollen, irrecoverably damaged or re-purposed as something other than a phone. The last thing is the fate that befell my iPhone 4S, which is, till this very day, my media player. It's (iPhone 4S) is such a well built little machine that it just refused to break. So I have it sitting on a USB docking station connected to a pair of good quality speakers.

I digress, :)

Anyway, in a moment of hand-eye lack of coordination, I dropped my iPhone 11 on it's face. It landed on a a slab of concrete and cracked in what looked like every inch. For a week or so, while waiting for my screen replacement I ordered off Amazon, I was using an old Android phone (which was itself a revelation, the details of which are beyond the scope of this video).

I've replaced a phone screen many times. This particular phone has had it's screen, back and batteries previously replaced. Once you're experienced, it actually doesn't take long to do. The tiny screws are intimidating to beginners but you just need to be a little careful. The kit I got also comes with a "screw mat", which was a welcome addition I had seen for the first time.

I'm happy to report that my phone is now back in action. It's my number one tool, as is for most people, and I literally can't do without it. Perhaps even more than others, it's also my main content creation tool, including making videos for my YT channel! Imagine, this ancient phone from half a decade ago is how I create nearly half of my income. That's saying something.
