After the great win against Sangodeyi, killing him and taking off his head from part 1 of Lisabi, Lisabi returned home with villagers celebrating and changing his praises. It was a great victory to them all but then, the war is not over yet as Lisabi's men ambushed more Oyo tribute collectors and sent Sangodeyi's head to the palace as a warning to the king referred to as The Alaafin.
With no doubt, the Alaafin was enraged and he ordered his top general, Aronimoja which was played by Deyemi Okanlawon, to retaliate the death of his 600 men for 6,000men of the Egba people so the war continues. You know, no mighty man will want to be seen as been weak or overcome by less-powered men because it makes them feel ridiculed.
Seeing that another huge war awaits the Egba land, Lisabi prepares to empower his men in preparation for the forthcoming war which made his wife, Ikeola, ask him the great question of who he is.
The revelation of who Lisabi is made me understand and affirm that to every great person in life, there has been a bittered, challenging, questioning past which has cost them a lot that no ordinary person without vision can overcome.
Lisabi was actually raised by 4 different spirits called Akilapa, Eye, Olo Olori Ilari and Jogbo and these are the same ones he called upon to empower his men with more powers to face the Oyo men.
The opposition of the idea to fight back from the elders of the land definitely shows that not everyone will support our vision, not even those we focused on to get a good support from. I love how Ikeola went to the witches to seek for support which helped at the die-minute when the battle was about to overcome them and it shows how a man can always be successful as long as he has a supporting wife.
And finally, the part I found so bittered to talk about which is a twist to the movie was seeing the same people who agreed to go on a journey of freedom with a leader, ending up to envy the leader because he alone or mostly was being praised, hailed and acknowledged so they decidedd to murder his wife. Like the same men whom he trusted and supported one another on the same goal.
I think that's one of the greatest betrayals one could get which really got to him. So, what will Lisabi do in this situation? Stay with these murderers because it's his land or form an alliance with the enemy to destroy his betrayals.
Lisabi A Legend is Born is a movie of many lessons and even though there were some errors I would talk about, it's still worth watching.
My first criticism about the movie is the fact that some unnecessary changes were made which isn't okay enough because it's not only a movie but one that tells a history so there must be a concrete, precise and factual and not just all about fictional scenes.
