My opinión on the Weightlifting fairy Kim bok joo 😍

Bienvenidos a mi rincón

Hello, dear readers! Today I’m sharing a review of a Korean series that I really enjoyed. I actually took breaks while watching it—stretching it out over about a week—so it wouldn't end too quickly; I honestly liked it a lot. It had been a while since I watched a Korean series. I think it comes in phases for me, but I enjoy them because they are so charming—they don't have much violence, and there’s romance. It’s as if the characters live in a world that isn't quite real, and perhaps that’s what hooks the viewers.

Known in Spanish as El hada de las pesas (Weightlifting Fairy), this is a South Korean television series that aired in 2016. The series is inspired by the life of athlete Jang Mi-ran (did you know that?). The truth is, the path she had to travel to become a gold medalist was not easy—after all, I believe that anything truly worthwhile is never simple. Along the way, she managed to stand out among other athletes who, just like her, were striving to achieve their dreams. Amidst this journey, she also experienced first love, without ever letting it cause her to set her dreams aside.

One of the things I love most about Korean series—and this one in particular—is that the characters never waver in their outlook on life; couples support each other, and the little gestures they share are tender and lovely. I also really enjoyed the filming locations. I loved the friendship between the three girls, as well as the heroine's father—who was very strict but only acted that way to ensure she became a dedicated, outstanding athlete—and her hilarious uncle. I hope you watch the series and enjoy it.
