Today we walked through the streets of our neighborhood; we sat down for a while to talk and enjoy the weather—which, by the way, was finally sunny but felt cool (at least here). It wasn't that stifling, melting kind of heat, but rather a pleasant, warm sun... We don't usually go out like this, but we decided to do it for a bit, and it was really nice. We had a great time, and I laughed a lot at the funny things my son came up with. At one point, I noticed the moon was visible in broad daylight; it looked beautiful, and my son happened to be standing at an angle where both were in view.

So I said to him, "Let's take some photos—strike a pose!" I captured shots that I think are incredibly beautiful—hahaha—I even want to print them out and put them up around the house; the combination of the sunset, the moon, the warm tones, and my son's funny expressions was just too much—in the best way possible.

He was doing "mewing" here—some weird thing.

The way he holds his mouth cracks me up; no matter how much I told him, "Make a serious face so you look like a cool, tough guy," he’d always end up making that little duck-face—hahaha. Looking at these photos, I realized just how HUGE he’s getting. Sometimes I still see him as a baby, but then I see photos like this and think, "Wow—I created that little being who looks bigger and bigger all the time”.

Simple, spontaneous, and beautiful photos to cherish—every shot and every bit of fun was worth it. Plus, the afternoon was lovely and cool; everything was so perfect that it’s hard to believe, given the hellish weather we’ve had these past few months.
