#1217 - Random Baguio City Shots for Monday.
Happy Monday dearest Hiveans around the world! A fresh week is here and I know getting back to the daily grind can be tough. So let's drink a hot cup of coffee, put on a smile and tackle our tasks one by one. Keep pushing, stay positive. Wishing everyone a fantastic Monday ahead😊.
Moving now to our daily shots around noon with the sky filled with shades of gray. We were at the roof deck of SM Mall in Baguio City with the gloomy weather. Thick fog was drifting over the area and mountains. You could barely see the horizon. The air was crisp and biting in the highlands. My wife and I stood just watching the clouds move slowly with the vibe actually made the view dramatic.
We snap these photos of the surroundings to capture the feeling of the moment. From our vantage point on the deck, you could really see the vast Baguio City. The buildings and houses were scattered across the steep mountains. There were so many structures like apartments, small hotels and residential homes that are clustered together. It was honestly a bit overwhelming to see.
I couldn't help but notice the pine trees were slowly disappearing, replaced by endless concrete and galvanized roofs. The houses were packed that the green forest was fighting to survive, losing its battle with the human population.
My wife pointed out a distant church of Baguio Cathedral. We joked about how the weather made the city look like a scene from an old mysterious movie. The silence and cold broken by the sound of the wind.
The Baguio air was fresh and clean, filling my lungs with the cool mountain breeze. It felt refreshing compared to the sticky air we are used to in the Manila lowlands with smells of smoke and traffic. We stood here for a long time which was a simple moment.
