To start with, if there were a few abilities I could wish for, invisibility would definitely be one of them. It’s a shame that I would only be limited to 24 hours to carry out the things I have mapped out in my head. I won’t lie, my first instinct would be to play pranks on people. If I like messing with people when they can see me, imagine how it’s going to be like if it’s in a scenario where I can’t be seen.
Perhaps I’ll consider that if I had a longer duration of time. But since it’s just for a day, then I’ll have to use it judiciously so that I can live with contentment after the end of the 24 hours. Such kind of opportunities are not the kinds you see everyday.
I think the first thing on the list if I were to be invisible would be to go to busy government offices. I would find my way in and sit down quietly at one corner. What is my mission? I’m there to listen to the conversations that go on behind closed doors. We often hear them talk a lot of great deals when they are in the public or on air on tv and radio stations. But does it synchronize with what they discuss and plan when people are not seeing them? Or it’s all just a facade? This is one thing I would honestly love to find out.
There’s something else I would want to do, but frankly speaking this may take most of the time out of the twenty four hours I have.
I would want to secretly help people who are struggling. I remember certain situations where I had to trek long distances to make it to school and other places because I hadn’t transport fares. I would to help children most especially, those who are trying to find their way to schools or back home and have to walk long distances to reach their destination by leaving them with some money. Even if they don’t use it to transport themselves to their destinations but use it to get something to it, either way I’ll be pleased that they benefited from it.
If there’s a little time left, then I’d love to use it to have some fun. You know, a little ‘me-time’ wouldn’t be a bad idea. I’ve always loved going to the parks. I mean the ones where you hop on all these amazing facilities like the Ferris-wheel and the rest. So I’d probably check out one of those, get on the Ferris-wheel, there’s one I entered a certain time called the private ship (really crazy stuff), the rollercoaster, and every other ones that is capable of making your head spin round and round by the time the ride is over.
I’d also love to check out the video gaming hall and try out some games but I don’t want people running out of the hall when they see a game controller suspended on the air and playing a game all by itself. The last thing I’d want is to cause any form of confusion. My plan throughout this whole period is to blend in.
Above all, what would be the most important to me is knowing that I managed to put some smiles on people’s faces. It doesn’t matter at all that I was not recognised. As long as I was able to make them happy for a moment, that for me is the biggest flex.
