Hello, friends of the hive—it’s a pleasure to greet you!
I hope you are all doing wonderfully. Today, I would like to share a very special reflection with you regarding one of the most beautiful and meaningful traditions: the Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos).
Although we often view death as an end, this celebration teaches us to see it from a different perspective: as a reunion. It is a time when memory becomes a bridge and love transcends time, allowing us to honor the lives of those loved ones who are no longer physically with us, yet continue to dwell within our hearts.
Families gather, and altars become vibrant with flowers, candles, and fragrances, creating a warm atmosphere where nostalgia transforms into celebration and gratitude. Ever since my grandparents passed away, I haven’t been able to observe the Day of the Dead by bringing flowers and candles, as I did for many years with my great-grandparents. Last year, I discovered that the Day of the Dead is not celebrated the same way everywhere—specifically, the tradition of bringing candles and flowers at night is not universal.
