Surprisingly, I like November 1st, because I associate it with family time with my nearest and dearest who are happily still with us. First in the morning, a family gathering at the cemetery, then a family dinner. Afterwards, to the other Grandma and another cemetery after dark.
For the past few years, the weather on November 1st has spoiled us—it was sunny, nice, and not too bad temperature-wise. This year's All Saints' Day was much gloomier and colder, but thanks to that, we cleared out from the cemetery sooner and escaped to a warm home.
