Colasposoma dauricum

I found a small, shiny insect on the surface of a fresh leaf. The body color is very striking, a combination of metallic green with a bluish sheen, making it easy to see even though the body is quite small, around 6–8 mm. After I took the picture and enlarged it using a macro lens, the typical body structure of the Chrysomelidae family was clearly visible: an elongated oval body, quite long antennae, and short strong legs.

This insect did not immediately run away when I approached, but slowly moved to the underside of the leaf, perhaps to hide. I observed it for several minutes and took several photos from various angles.

After tracing the identification, I discovered that this was most likely Colasposoma Dauricum, a type of leaf beetle known to prefer plants in the Solanaceae family. They are usually active in the morning or evening and can be a mild pest on several types of agricultural crops.
