Taking him to Chinatown

I have been fairly consistent lately and I like that OwO But I think this is mostly because I'm not the only one taking photos now, he shares his photos with me when he has some and I truly appreciate it, especially since I don't bring my phone out when I have company as a way to show respect to the other, but the man has a camera and I respect that XD So going back, I really thought we were gonna part ways at Siquijor and write I off as a really fun holiday fling but not even a day after my departure, he rebooked his flight to Thursday then asked me if I meant it when I told him that I would take him on an adventure in manila if he said he wanted to. I always keep my word. And just like that, on Friday afternoon, after work, I was in a rush to go to my dress fitting for my friend's wedding then after that, I was making a run to Lucky China town mall which I where I told him to meet up on because he came from his hotel in Makati. Plus I think that place may have been the safest pace for him to wait in because China town can be a dangerous place if you go alone. It wasn't hard to find him cuz he was a really big guy ^^ but I loved that he dressed up for me a little because he counts this one as a date for us too ^^

Even in the rain, Chinatown was so lively ^^ For the first part, I was telling him about the church, why our China town was a bit different then we made our first stop which was the mezzanine firehouse cafe! That one usually had a line, like a really long line you had to wait 2 hours for yet surprisingly, there was no line! So that was our first stop!

So me being a seasoned foodie of China town, I pointed the best sellers and the ones that always sold out fast. Those being the kikiam (fancy orleans), hakaw (shrimp dmplings), Xiao long bao (soup dumplings) and,of course, rice but they ran out of yang Chao rice so we had to settle for the beefy peanut rice. He basically devoured the kikiam and Xiao long bao though and that, I expected cuz he has never had proper dumplings in his life XD Next stop was Eeng Bee tin for hopia, but no pictures from that cuz he was too overwhelmed with all the flavors he saw. It was adorable seeing him so happy with food ^^ After that, we had mochiiii!!!! That one is a must for me whenever I go to china town and he needs to experience that too XD

We did get really good bread from Stowe's bakery too ad King's bakeshop because he really needs to experience pork floss bread OwO We did pass by the food court under the bridge but we were still too full for another huge serving of everything. I did take him to the old Shanghai dumpling place that usually sold out in the afternoon, and to my surprise, they were still open, for once ;;w;; and that made me really happy and it made me happy that he loved the dumplings so much that he just had to have another serving XD After all that food, we walked for a bit, back to the Lucky China town mall because there were still a few good spots left to try there and one of them was the skewers I always go for because it's just that good and spicy

He was not good with spice and I kinda worried he would die if we kept eating spicy XD Then the last stp, we were actually n a dilemma between Spring chicken or something light the noodle soup. In the end, we decided n the noodles because why go to China town if you're not gonna have noodles? XD ad I agree and we agreed to share this one because both of us were basically at or food limits XD

But how could you say no to such a beautiful bowl of noodles ;;u;; and the noodles were so tender and fresh too cuz we were watching them make the noodles from the window before coming into the shop

After all that food, we were basically waddling back to his hotel like penguins because we were just that stuffed. All in all, I still find it funny that h randomly decided "ah, she's the one I want to be with" after just a few days in Siquijor. So I am fully convinced that island was magic indeed because I spent my entire weekend with him and took him to a lot of other places I knew he would love. I think, of all the romances I've ever had, this my have been the sweetest and most wholesome one I've ever had. Not to mention he most reassuring because the man really knows how to calm a girl down ;;u;; and I truly love him for that.

So yes, I have been writing so much of my romance here but these experiences really shaped my entire August so I think these are all worth revisiting on memory lane ^^ After my China town suprise for him, h gave me a fun surprise too ^^ h took me somewhere really fancy end expensive and I'm saving that for tomorrow's blog XD cuz again, soooo many photos!
