After getting a weapon from the quartermaster, I ventured outside into the slums to find Dr. Zere. Bypassing slow-moving zombies and looting rooftops, I reached a safe zone compound. Dr. Zere administered an Antizin shot, explained his research with Dr. Camden, and directed Crane to speak with Spike for his next task.

Leaving the quartermaster behind with a newly acquired melee weapon, I made my way toward the main gate leading out of the tower. The guard at the exit offered a grim warning, reminding me to stay cautious as they had already lost far too many people to the streets.
Stepping outside into the open air, I realized Dr. Zere was operating from a trailer in the courtyard rather than inside the main structure, forcing me to navigate the infected streets to reach him.
To avoid drawing unnecessary attention, I stuck to high ground, hopping between roofs to survey the area. Below, groups of slow-moving zombies shuffled aimlessly through the alleys.

I dropped down onto a nearby roof to clear out a lone infected, looting a few dollars off the body before climbing back up. Spotting a group of armed survivors ahead, I took a side route to avoid a confrontation, only to find the lower path packed with a dense crowd of infected.
Realizing the heavily guarded compound I had been trying to bypass was actually a fortified safe zone, I moved through the barricades. The guards let me pass into the courtyard, directing me toward a mobile trailer parked inside.
Stepping into the makeshift lab, I met Dr. Zere, who welcomed me inside and administered a vital dose of Antizin to keep my symptoms under control.
While giving the injection, Dr. Zere explained that the pathogen was a modified variation of rabies. He revealed that while no true cure existed yet, he had been conducting tests on infected tissue samples alongside Dr. Camden, a colleague trapped in Sector 0.
Stepping back into the courtyard, Crane radioed Rahim to confirm the dose was secured, and Rahim instructed me to head toward a nearby truck to meet with Spike for my next assignment.
