Tomorrow... maybe
I need a woman who isn’t afraid of what she thinks, who isn’t afraid of what she feels, who isn’t afraid of what she wants— even if she doesn’t want it.
I need a woman who can shake the very foundations on which sorrow rests, and with a heart that doesn’t flinch when faced with half-truths.
I need a woman who doesn’t blame me for her sorrows, who knows how to swim through her tears, and who doesn’t ask me to throw her a rope when the tide comes in.
I need a woman who doesn’t overindulge what she wants, who doesn’t underpunish those who err, and who doesn’t build altars or downplay beliefs.
I need a woman who isn’t afraid of being alone, who doesn’t believe in chains, who doesn’t need anyone to love her.
I need a woman who follows her own path, who charts her own course without fearing the night that always lurks.
I need a free woman who isn’t afraid of others’ loneliness, who doesn’t need me, whom I love and who loves me today, and tomorrow... maybe, perhaps.
