Happy start to the week, community! We begin the month of November with our customary #MyHiveGoals report. The rains have finally arrived in my city—and quite heavily, too—which has made getting around to the two jobs I currently hold rather difficult. Fortunately, this past week, I was able to shed a significant portion of my teaching workload at one of them. However, as I had already feared in last week’s post, this meant I would be less active on the blockchain—a trend that has indeed been evident over the last two weeks. To make matters worse, this coincided with a drop in the price of Hive.
Last week, the price was already slipping at $0.047, but this Thursday, something occurred that few had anticipated—and many were unwilling to accept: the attack on the Binance exchange and the subsequent theft of cryptocurrencies. Although the news was shocking and impacted major cryptocurrencies across the market, the decline in Hive wasn't as drastic as some might have expected; it moved from $0.047 down to $0.045. It seems the trend may be a slow, controlled descent—I just hope we don’t return to the $0.036 level, as that was truly depressing.

Without a doubt, the weekend was a great time to buy—and still is—but P2P services are currently disabled in my country, and it seems that withdrawing Hive is also not possible at the moment. So, for now, I have to wait. This situation is quite draining for me, as I’ve just received my salary and usually convert a large portion of it into Hive and USDT. Given that we are living through an economy reminiscent of the Weimar Republic, our fiat currency devalues very rapidly.
Hive/HP
But let’s set aside Binance and its drama to focus on what matters to us: our goals on Hive. We currently have 315 liquid Hive from our last wallet funding, which we are using for power-ups. This amount is sufficient to cover the remainder of the year—both for the power-ups performed on the 1st of each month and for the daily power-ups of at least 1 Hive. On that note, we received a notification yesterday confirming that we’ve reached a 30-day power-up streak—that is, the #HPUM—and we also took the opportunity to complete this November’s power-up, marking our 11th #HPUD of the year.
The discipline we adopted at the start of 2025—treating power-ups as an almost religious ritual—enabled us to reach this year’s goal of 12K HP; in fact, we are now closing in on 14K HP. I’m not sure if we’ll hit that figure this week, but it’s all but certain that we will reach it by the second week.

Although the 30-day chart shows a trend of steady growth, the last 7 days reveal a noticeable dip compared to our usual output. This is because I’ve been swamped with work lately, and this week will likely be much the same; I still have to finish teaching courses at another university, and since I’m new to that faculty, I want to ensure I do a good job. Consequently, it will be the second week of this month when we truly ramp up our activity on the blockchain again.
HBD Savings
To wrap up this report, let’s look at the progress of our final—and most challenging—goal: HBD savings. Given the drop in the price of Hive, we only managed to convert 5 HBD from our rewards into liquid Hive. Nevertheless, it was enough to reach 2,252 HBD—meaning we successfully hit our monthly target of over 2,250 HBD! Now, the goal for this month is to secure our annual target of 2,300 HBD; if I manage to free myself from my teaching responsibilities this coming week, it is highly likely that we will be able to reach it by the end of November.
My ace up the sleeve is the interest—specifically, the 10% APR earned by keeping all that HBD locked up. In two days, we’ll be able to claim those earnings and add them to our savings fund; it’s the "snowball effect" helping me reach my goal here on Hive, friends! We would then need to generate roughly 30 more HBD to complete this challenging objective. Let’s hope we can pull it off over the next four weeks!
That’s the latest update on my Hive goals, friends! November promises great things; we just need to stay determined and optimistically manifest the successful completion of these targets. See you next week for the first update of the month. Best regards!

Saludos!
