After the pilot, “The Wild Brunch” starts dealing with the consequences of everything we just discovered, and I think this episode made the relationships between the characters much more interesting.
Serena wants to leave the past behind, but Blair obviously isn't ready to forgive her. And honestly, I can understand Blair's anger. Their friendship already feels complicated because there is affection between them, but also jealousy, betrayal and a lot of things they simply haven't talked about.
The brunch itself was my favorite part. Putting practically everyone in the same place while so many secrets are floating around was obviously going to end badly. Watching the tension slowly build until everything becomes uncomfortable was very entertaining.
I also liked seeing more of Dan and Serena. Their relationship feels almost like an escape from the Upper East Side drama, although it's becoming clear that their completely different worlds are going to make things difficult.
Only two episodes in, and I'm already invested in this mess. Everyone seems to know something that someone else desperately wants to keep secret.

I enjoyed this one slightly more than the pilot. The introductions are mostly over, so now the characters can start creating the drama that makes this world so addictive.
