Been a while....my Hive Crocodiles

....and since ts been so long, its about time i put some fire under my duck tail, and contribute to our lovely little platform that is..... Hive.

I had a nice scooter adventure a few weeks ago when the weather was nice. I take a trail at some point during the journey, and always feel its a cool spot to grab some pictures.

The sun is in an interesting point in the sky, the grass was a lovely shade of green, and i was lookin kind of mean...., well maybe not mean but it rhymes.

As i made my way down the trail, zipping by at a nice pace. A bit too bumpy to go too fast as i dont want to wear out my scooter too soon. Id rather take it easy.

THE HIVE ROAD

Hive is a road ive been on too and as it can be obvious to see, i have been here learning since about 2017.

Lately i dont know how to move forward here, as the constant drop the past year has worn out my spirit. As with any crypto, the money you put in is at risk. When you buy, when and if you sell, is the biggest factors.

It feels like im that guy who buys too high, and loses. Its very tricky. Theres more to Hive than profit of course. This is community, making friends, sharing experiences.

I think starting an account small, building slowly, is the best way. Buying in big at 0.10, thinking that was a good price and losing thousands as we dwindled down to 0.03 sucks. We have bounced back a bit, as crypto sentiments have possibly started to reverse and maybe we will make our way back up.

I bought expensive cards in Splinterlands. Chaos packs. Got crapped on.

Expensive cards in dCrops.... got crapped on.

Hive at 0.10, staking since well above.... got crapped on.

Bunch of Zing, got crapped on. Not acids fault, not trying to stir trouble.

I get some good votes on my posts, but hardly feel like i got recognition from the bigger accounts. A few yes, and for making posts, to make it up to even $4 is still cool. Am i not original enough here? Not pretty enough, like girls posts that make it up to $20 sometimes.... they get the whale votes.

The last thing i want to do is be negative here. Im thankful for things in general. I work, make money, and my health is ok. The older i get though, the more i learn, makes it all tougher on me. Like how to move forward here. Leave my stake to grow (which it does nicely), switch to mostly HBD, or maybe ill be another number, another ghost of a man that came and went.

The road is ahead of me, and theres bumps along the way. Lately been recognizing that i wont be around forever, time is of the essence. A true man needs to keep putting in work. A true man is a brick wall, not phased by anything else. I must know my path, i must improve upon everything im doing. A true man remains positive even when the world is crapping on me. I can only control my own actions and decisions.

I feel your pain... I got killed with the same items except dCrops. I didn't go heavy there. Chaos packs turned into a pile of crap...

As you can see in the comments, the community is so warm and we are all here for the fun as well as the votes also. Don't put too much pressure on yourself, and it's good that you are grateful for many simple things in life. That's great actually. I believe the price of Hive will do well in the long term, and that's why I am still holding them as staked HP, but of course who knows.

Wow, dude, it's great to see you here! It's really hard to compete with you for the girls on Hive. Things have gotten tough since you've been back. Man, I disappear and come back sometimes too. Hive is like my ex; I always come back.

Back when i waz new here I was instructed to keep track of the whale's schedule of upvoting, and to consistently comment on their posts to get noticed. What the flying fuck? Chase them? like a pscyho? Cringe.

We can never fake connection. It’s a community. While we all enjoy earning money here, but more than wallet size, it’s about the people...genuine people where the connection can't be purely transactional. I mean, you clicked...congratulations, you've been rewarded, that's cool. If not, still cool coz you get to chitchat, uhm.. trash talk, and shitpost too, lol.

But of course, it’s different for people who are high-stakers just like you, y'all losing that much isn’t a joke.

Ah, the highs and the lows. But the community has your back. So yeah, start over, it's good to have a hard reset.

The sun is at an interesting point in the sky, the grass was a lovely shade of green.

Hell yeah! That picture of the sun is really kewl, Ah... I've got some cool pictures of the sun and moon in one frame, it's amazing, i'll post about it soon. Can't explain the joy of sunbathing after experiencing months of rain.

And ov course, that selfie is nice, look at that pouty ... so pogi! It's good to know you're taking your health seriously, so I guess... welcome back?

The feeling you have, my friend, I have it too, that feeling that we made some bad choices. I also invested more than just money here on Hive. I invested a lot of time, in the games and in the ecosystem. And, ironically, today is also my Hive anniversary: 5 years.

I make my posts every day, and I genuinely enjoy this routine, but if I stop and think about how much time I have spent here and what I actually have to show for it, well, it feels like it may not have been worth it. But anyway, let’s see if things get better someday. Maybe I still have a little bit of hope left.

My financial life is a complete mess right now, and Hive is pretty much all I have at the moment in terms of the possibility of building something good. But it feels like I failed here.

I hear you, I still believe. I put a decent chunk on CHAOS as well. Had a decent amount invested even before that. My peak portfolio worth was massive and leaning on life changing money compared to the dribble I currently have but what a learning experience. That 2020'ish market crash was something else. Those of us in the gaming sector got hit hard. Keep stacking is all a fellow can do. There's only one thing worse than a crash and that is selling it all at the bottom to sit back and watch it rocket. I learned that lessons with Dodge and XRP. Had a few hundred thousand DOGE and some thousands XRP when they weren't worth much-- let them go too soon. It's good to see you posting again. Keep rocking.

Hive is now a long term investment.. At these low levels it's best to accumulate and power up hive. I bought another 9.5k hive today via the P2P trade. Cheers

I remember when I sold one card in Splinterlands for 700$ and hive was worth over 3$ in that day. But I forgot to change DEC for swap.hive and convert for HBD and I lost so many value from this sell in just few days. Dec was worth 12x over soft peg.

So yeah we gamers remember old good times which were here just for a moment. New people which are here only look how many tokens we already accumulated over these years. But they don't know the feeling of watching it losing so many value in extremly violate bear market times.

Everyone wants to earn like me in Splinterlands but they have almost 0 cards in collection, in many cases they don't even own a spellbook to earn SPS. I builded my SPS stake and my GF deck for over 8 years!

Is easy to judge people by their vote value or ke, but they not see bigger picture. I was early supporter of many gaming projects on hive and I'm big holder of many tribe tokens. Many projects noticed failure. I played in Splinterforge and I still have so many cards in Soulkeep. I have top 9 and top 13 accounts in Golem Overlord. Really I play for fun. I burned over 119.5M part tokens to build those accounts.

Maybe I never recover my losses. Now when I'm looking back I don't care much. I stopped staring and looking only at the prices long time ago and I feel better. Now my SPS is worth only 1k$. Cards even less and I have 95% of gold foils. Rest regular foils are 1 BCX's from 500 chaos packs opening. My almost 300k SPS in stake is still worth much more than my whole hive power. And my full vote with hp is worth little over 0.01$.

But I do not look at this as my failure. As you said is nice to build slowly. I don't have much expecations, I just wanna play in my favourite games on hive like others players play in web2 games. I'm here for Community because in really hard times I found many good persons which helped me. I know you from times where you had 20k hp. You started your yourney on platform 1 year before me.

Is easy to be happy when everythings looks good but when times are harder only the ones who survived extremly violate bear market know the true pain inside. It tooks me many months to pick up myself.

Opening 50 Chaos Legion packs at once definitely brings back some of that Splinterlands excitement 😄🎮 I like how you shared both the anticipation and the results, especially seeing which cards and surprises came out of the session.

We never know when is the lowest price possible... We try... I was also crapped in some NFTs buys recently, thought it was a good price, but then it went down too :/

It's always good to talk about one's feeling towards their investments. I also got some splinterlands cards a while back, and I was burned and lost 99% of the money to the brutal market. Hopefully Hive can recovery nicely, past the 0.1$ mark and you can take some profit for your investments. As for your post rewards, yeah sometimes the rewards are unfair..

It's nice to see you around, and it hurts when the platform isn't doing well. There isn't much we can do at this point in time, but I'm glad you are still around and that you had a nice scooter ride. Only time will tell how Hive will go, but I'll still be around for a while.
