Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m joining you here to share another day in my life with you. This time, I want to tell you about the latest Canticum Merú rehearsal I’ll be attending this September, since I’ll be traveling to Valencia soon to visit my maternal family. I’m feeling a mix of excitement and nostalgia about traveling back to my home state (which I haven’t visited in a year), and at the same time, I feel a little sad because I won’t be seeing the girls and boys in the choirs. I’ve gotten used to their presence and this way of life, but hey, this isn’t a permanent goodbye. We have to keep singing and moving forward.

This September, we started working on the Christmas repertoire. The group has a tradition of putting on a big event for that time in December, and they already have a set list of songs; however, to mix things up a bit, we’ve started rehearsing two new songs—and there will probably be a few more. Those are “La Hallaca” and “Cantemos en Nochebuena.” There are so many that I’m curious to hear them all and learn them. I really love Christmas, and I think it’s always nice to listen to some songs in that style. Plus, here in the city, everyone knows that Canticum Merú puts on its very special “Puer Natus” performance. This will be the first time I’ve participated in that, so, well, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Today I’m saying goodbye to Perlita, the academy’s elderly cat and, in a way, everyone’s. Aside from all this, I haven’t really been feeling very well, and I hope to get checked out in Valencia as well. This year I’ve also done several things that, to be honest, haven’t been very good, and it hasn’t been easy to recover from them. There’s a recurring issue that’s causing me a lot of pain. I think it’s time to think seriously about things, and that will determine a lot. With nothing more to say, thank you so much for stopping by.
