Today I want to talk about a movie that, for me, is much more than cinema: it's a life lesson. I'm talking about "Life is Beautiful" (La vita è bella), directed by and starring the brilliant Roberto Benigni.
The story is well-known: Guido, a cheerful and dreamy man, is deported to a concentration camp with his little son Giosuè. To protect him from the horror, Guido makes him believe it's all a game, a competition to win a tank. It's a heartbreaking and beautiful fable about a father's love and the power of imagination.
My personal opinion
Life will always put you in very difficult situations and big obstacles. It's up to you how to face the situation. You can be happy or not. In the end, life is like that, and you have to face it the best way possible, because life is beautiful, and even more beautiful when we enjoy it despite the obstacles that may come.
This movie taught me that happiness doesn't depend on circumstances, but on the attitude with which we face them. Guido, in the midst of absolute horror, finds a way to smile, to love, to protect his son. It reminds us that even in the darkest moments, we can choose to see the beauty.
It's not a movie you forget. It's one of those that leaves you thinking, with a tight heart but full of gratitude. That's why I always recommend it.
