Greetings, fellow craft lovers! Welcome back to my workshop @bricolajedc. Today, we’re going to make a ponytail wrap out of yarn and beads. Join me, and I’ll walk you through the step-by-step process of making this fun “Hairwraps Pony” accessory.

Saludos amigos amantes de las artes manuales! Sean bienvenidos una vez más a mi taller @bricolajedc, en esta oportunidad vamos a elaborar una coleta pony de lana y cuentas. Acompáñenme y les muestro el paso a paso de este divertido accesorio "Hairwraps ponny".

Materials:

Yarn in 2 different colors Elastic hair tie Plastic "Grosella" beads Plastic star and butterfly charms Scissors Fine-toothed comb

I chose light blue and navy blue wool, along with blue beads in various shades and a clear butterfly.

We started by cutting double strips measuring 60 centimeters.

Yo seleccioné color celeste y azul marino en lana y todos los abalorios de color azul en diferentes tonos y una mariposa transparente.

Comenzamos cortando tiras dobles de 60 centímetros.

Let's make a loop in the middle of each double strip by tying a knot. This will be used to hang the ponytail and to start weaving.

Vamos a hacer un aro en la mitad de cada tira doble con un nudo. Esto servirá para colgar a la coleta y para comenzar el tejido.

Next, take a double strand of yarn in a different color and tie a knot right next to the previous knot.

Luego tomamos una tira doble de lana de otro color y vamos a hacer un nudo justo al lado del nudo anterior.

We'll start by making a three-strand braid. At certain points along the way, we'll add beads and charms according to our own taste.

Comenzamos a hacer una trenza triple. En algunos tramos del tejido vamos a incorporar las cuentas y los dijes según nuestro propio gusto.

At the bottom of the braid, leaving 4 centimeters free, we'll tie a knot, and then use the excess yarn to comb it thoroughly with a fine-toothed comb so it lies flat and looks like hair.

En la parte inferior de la trenza, dejando 4 centímetros disponible, haremos un nudo y con el exceso de lana vamos a peinar muy bien con el peine fino para que quede lizo y parezca cabello.

Take a 120-centimeter strip of yarn and thread 10 beads onto it. Tie a knot around the ponytail to secure the beads.

Tomamos una tira de 120 centímetros de lana y vamos a introducir 10 cuentas. Hacemos un tejiDo sobre la coleta para fijar las cuentas.

The idea is to tie a knot while keeping each bead securely in place on the ponytail. The yarn will allow the ponytail to stretch without restricting its elasticity, even though the beads are secured with the yarn.

La idea es hacer un nudo dejando cada cuenta fija sobre la coleta. La lana va a permitir que estire sin limitar esa capacidad de la coleta sin importar que tenga las cuentas sujetas con la lana.

Once we've braided the entire ponytail with the beads, we'll place the braids at the bottom.

Una vez que tenemos todas la coleta tejida con las cuentas, vamos a colocar en la parte inferior las trenzas.

I've included 5 braids in my design. In the center is a monochromatic braid, and on either side of it are two two-tone braids.

En mi diseño acomodé 5 trenzas. En el centro una unicolor y a los lados de esta, 2 tranzas bicolor.

Once the ponytail is ready, we'll weave one last strand through the beads and braids to secure them to the ponytail.

Luego de tener la coleta pony lista, vamos dar un último tejido pasando por las cuentas y las trenzas para que se fijen a la coleta.

And that’s how our ponytail accessory turns out. I loved working on this project. We can try using Chinese thread or rattail cord and add other beads to create endless designs.

This is a simple way to create a unique hairstyle—just by attaching the accessory to the ponytail.

Y así es como queda nuestra coleta de pony. Me encantó trabajar este proyecto. Podemos intentar con hilo chino o cola de ratón y agregar otros abalorios para crear diseños infinitos.

Esta es uba forma de hacer un peinado diferente y de la forma más sencilla, simplemente colocando la coleta en el cabello.
