Hello everyone you're welcome to my blog ❤️🤗
When I was younger, I didn't have much to worry about. I was always very carefree, curious, unburdened, naive, and happy. I was so optimistic about life. Back then, I didn't need too much to be happy. I found happiness in little conversations, staying with my friends, spending time with my family, eating my favourite food or even listening to my favourite songs.

I thought life was always going to be that way. I remember, when I was 16, I had a friend who was much older than me, and one day, he told me " enjoy the moment, enjoy being a teenager, because when you get to a certain stage in life, all those little things would no longer excite you the way it used to. You will then have to face reality."

Back then, I didn't take it seriously. I replied with " I will always be me, nothing can ever change me in life. I will always be happy and carefree no matter what life throws at me." When he heard my reply, he just laughed.
Now, in just a blink of an eye, I grew up even without realising it. Life now feels different. The things that made me comfortable and happy when I was younger, are no longer enough.
I grew up, not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally. Everything changed. I found myself looking for a job, wanting financial stability, I just wanted to build something for myself, I needed to know where my life was headed.

When I looked around and saw people my age building houses, bagging contracts, becoming millionaires, and achieving lots of things, I began asking myself, " what am I doing? What am I not there yet, is there something I'm not doing right??"
But life has taught me something. Being an adult doesn't mean you should always have it all figured out, it doesn't mean because someone achieved something big at a particular age means you should also achieve it at that particular age.
Stop putting so much pressure on yourself. Everyone's Journey is different. You will get there one day.
Learn to give yourself some credit, even when what you were expecting didn't go as planned. Learn to take yourself on solo-dates.

You've got this. You may not have it all figured out now, but that's completely ok. You're still growing, I'm growing too. Everything will fall into place.
Sometimes, you will feel overwhelmed. You will miss the younger, carefree version of you. Trust me, you are still YOU. You are still the bright, beautiful, handsome, carefree, playful, happy person that you used to be.
The important thing is, growing up doesn't mean you are no longer carefree and playful, it just means you are learning how to balance responsibilities and making yourself happy. Even in the midst of building yourself, you still deserve to be happy.

That's probably what my friend was trying to tell me years ago. He didn't say I would lose that version of myself when I grew up, he just meant, your world may no longer revolve around school, friends, family, hobbies, having fun, you will now have to start taking responsibility for certain things.
Thank you for stopping by my blog ❤️🥰
