Hello Hive friends, This time I’m bringing you some gameplay—well, actually, a livestream I just finished. I downloaded a game called The Division Resurgence yesterday, and I thought it would be interesting to share it with the community here.
The premise of The Division involves military-trained sleeper agents embedded in society; at a certain point, they are "activated"—so to speak—to carry out rescue missions or other tasks needed to help the local community.
I know The Division 1 is set in New York and The Division 2 in Washington D.C., and this new free-to-play title takes place back in New York.
When I downloaded the game, I assumed it wouldn't just be a mobile-to-PC port, but that the UI would be adapted for PC play (my mistake for thinking that). It turns out the whole experience is heavily geared toward phones; the interface is clearly designed for mobile devices. Another point worth noting is the graphics—they really look like mobile graphics. I don't know quite how to explain it, but they lack the resolution you'd expect from a game built for PC. They also didn't pay much attention to voice synchronization—or rather, the lack thereof.
To put it simply, it’s one of those mobile games built on Unreal Engine; the interface looks very similar to other titles made with it.
Honestly, I spent an hour and a half playing this game, but it just didn't click with me. I’m not going to keep playing it—I’m going to uninstall it—but if you enjoy this type of game (whether on mobile or PC), leave a comment and let me know what you think.
