Master of the brush—an idea I visualized in my mind upon seeing a stain on the floor

Happy start to the week to #sketchbook artists and #hive members; I hope everyone is off to a good start today. Here is an illustration I created a few days ago—as the title suggests, the idea came to me after spotting a stain on the floor. The concept just popped into my mind, and I was really pleased with the result; I even included it in my portfolio. Now, as always, I’ll show you the process.

  • Turning a floor stain into a portfolio-worthy illustration proves the best ideas sometimes come from staring at the ground long enough.

Turning a floor stain into a portfolio illustration with the full process documented is exactly how a throwaway moment becomes a finished piece.

What kind of master bird is this though?
