Beauty of Bertha Lake

DSC00766.jpeg

A few more photos to share with you of my doomed attempt to hike around Bertha Lake, Waterton Lakes park, Alberta. Like I mentioned earlier, I did not really plan to walk around the lake that day, it was sort of an after thought. Curiosity got the best of me though, so I did get about a third of the way around when I encountered that ornery deer, which felt like a “sign” for me to turn around and just head back. So I did just that. Have you ever started a hike only to abort it shortly thereafter? Thanks for stopping by.

Perhaps something dangerous lies ahead—that might be why the deer is being so stubborn, trying to get you to turn back. The charm of this lake is truly breathtaking; the atmosphere feels incredibly peaceful.

The third and last colored picture is breathtaking. I would honestly call this a River instead of lake if it was me, I use to think the difference between a River or lake was that rivers were always bigger, but that's honestly one very large lake there

Sometimes, even turning back is part of a successful expedition! 😄 Curiosity encourages us to discover new things beyond our original plans, but knowing when to stop is just as important.

Sometimes nature gives us the exact subtle signs we need to change our course. Turning back when encountering that deer was probably a wise decision, and the monochrome edits capture the moody wilderness atmosphere brilliantly.

Today the colorful photographs is much more beautiful than the black and white photographs. I am fascinated by the beauty of colorful ones.
