Peculiarly Mysterious

DSC00755.jpeg

Well retracing my steps now, back to the east end of the lake where I started! The shoreline here had a distinct redness to it, even the sand was somewhat red in colour. It was incredibly beautiful! It obviously must be due to the iron oxide prevalence in the area. It really was peculiarly mysterious to see the red hues in full effect, mixed with the other nearby colours. Imagine walking around a lake on mars, it could be similar to this! Thanks for stopping by.

I love that first picture, such a nice blend of colors and balance. Nice job, you must have been saving that one up! Then the last one with the waterfalls is amazing, so lush and green with the falls coming down. What a great hike!

Such a fascinating geological detail to discover along the trail. The way the striking red shoreline blends with the surrounding landscape feels mysteriously captivating, and the monochrome conversion highlights the textures brilliantly.

I've also visited a place with a reddish appearance, although it's not a lake but a waterfall. It's even named Pulangbato Falls, which means "Red Rock Falls" in English. The rocks and pebbles there have a reddish color. According to the locals, this is due to the high iron oxide content in the area.

  • Your shots really make me curious about what a Martian landscape looks like!

I love photography and painting; it doesn't matter whether they are in color or black and white. But I think black and white is nostalgic for me and gives me a vintage feeling.

Beautiful shots. I would love to sit on that stone and take in the fresh air while enjoying the view

Red colour in lakes is kind of rare. was there algae in the lake?

Extraordinarily beautiful! The reddish shores and sand create a uniquely mysterious atmosphere. It truly feels like another planet—perhaps a scene from Mars!
