Animated movies will always teach us valuable lessons, and even if they follow the same formula or are similar to those from previous years, they’re still worth watching—and that way, we can enjoy ourselves for a few minutes. That’s why The Forgotten Island was released—a fantasy adventure story packed with creatures, humor, and plenty of action, but also a story about friendship and that awkward moment in life when you have to leave a chapter behind. It’s a movie perfectly suited for all ages, and it even helps us realize that we should enjoy every single second of life to the fullest.
The story takes us to a city where two friends are about to graduate from high school—a stage of life that one enjoys to the fullest, creating unique moments that, as I know, can only be experienced once. However, both friends share a big dream of reaching a mysterious island, which sets off a story filled with adventure, challenges, and the struggle to make it out alive—leading us to wonder: Will their friendship end? Will they be able to fulfill that big dream? And many other things that will unfold during the two friends’ adventure.
Las películas animadas, siempre dejarán una gran enseñanza y por más que sean la misma fórmula o parecidas a las de años anteriores vale la pena verla, y de esa manera poder disfrutar de algo durante varios minutos. Por eso se estrenó La isla olvidada con una historia de aventura de fantasía, cargada de criaturas, humor y mucha acción, pero también una historia sobre la amistad y ese momento incómodo de la vida en el que toca dejar atrás una etapa, siendo una película perfectamente para todas las edades, e incluso poder darnos cuenta de que cada segundo qué pasa, se tiene que disfrutar de la vida al máximo.
La historia nos lleva a una ciudad donde están dos amigas que están a punto de terminar el instituto, siendo una etapa que uno como persona la disfruta al máximo, además crean momentos únicos y a la vez es algo que sé solo se vive una vez. Sin embargo, ambas amiga tiene un gran sueño de poder llegar a una gran isla misteriosa, la cual a partir de allí crea una historia cargada de aventura, desafíos y a la vez la tarea de poder salir de allí con vida, la cual nos lleva a preguntarnos ¿Se acabará la amistad? ¿Podrán disfrutar de ese gran sueño?, y muchas otras cosas que van a ocurrir en esa aventura de las dos amigas.
One of the things that works in this movie is its ability to transport us to that fantastical world, as it immerses us in something that could become real—that fear we all have of things changing, of leaving something behind to focus on the present. It also explores the friendships that form and the strength required when it’s time to let them go, since each person may take a different path and some memories begin to feel distant. That’s why this combination of messages—which are perfect for waking us up—along with the animated style, makes it something truly valuable and allows the story to unfold smoothly.
Each scene was well crafted; since the world is inspired by reality, they managed to make it very colorful, filled with strange creatures and utterly bizarre places that create a powerful atmosphere. It also has its moments of action and special effects, but they don’t make the story feel over-the-top or boring—they simply add a great touch. There’s also some humor that works well, but what’s most important is the relationship between the two friends, which feels genuine. They’re there day after day, making it all the more meaningful—even when that bond is on the verge of breaking.
Una de las cosas que funciona en esta película es poder llevarnos a ese mundo fantástico, puesto que nos sumerge en algo que puede llegar a ser real y es ese miedo que todos tenemos de las cosas cambien, de poder dejar algo atrás y enfocarnos en el presente, además las amistades que se crean y que cuando toca dejarlas ser fuerte, ya que cada persona puede tomar un camino distinto y que algunos recuerdos empiezan a sentirse como algo lejano. Por eso esa combinación de mensajes que son Perfectos para hacernos despertar con esa combinación de lo animada, logra que sea algo muy valioso y permite que la historia avance con tranquilidad.
Cada una de las escenas estaba bien trabajadas, ya que al ser un mundo que está inspirado en algo real, lograron que sea muy colorido, con la presencia de criaturas extrañas y lugares que son totalmente extraños, que crean una gran sensación. Además, cuenta con sus momentos de acción, sus efectos, pero no hacen que la historia sea exagerada ni aburrida, simplemente para darle un gran toque, como también cuenta con algo de humor que funciona, aun así lo más relevante es la relación de las dos amigas que es real y están allí día tras días haciendo que sea más valiosa, en incluso cuando puede llegar a romperse.
I really liked the result of this movie, The Forgotten Island, because it’s entertaining—it has its predictable moments, jokes that land, and an adventure that delivers. It also emphasizes the bonds between best friends, reflecting a fear we’ve all probably felt at some point: that a chapter in our lives will end and all the memories we’ve created will be lost. Me gusto mucho el resultado de esta película La isla olvidada, ya que es entretenida, tienes sus momentos predecibles, sus chistes que funcionan y una aventura que tiene como responder, además hace énfasis en las relaciones de los mejores amigos, donde quizás todos hemos tenido alguna vez ese miedo de que una etapa termine y de que se pierdan todos los recuerdos que se crearon. Por eso si buscas una película animada que mezcle fantasía y aventuras, esta película de la isla olvida será perfectamente para ti.
