📸 PhotoFeed Contest - Cityscape Photography #193 : An abandoned desert town

This photo was taken in Kolmanskop, Namibia. It is considered a ghost town today. The people who was lived in this former diamond town, left in the 1950s. Thjey left everything behind. If you visit, you will see that many of the houses are filled with sand from the desert. But some houses still have furniture, cans of food etc. This town was once rich because of the diamonds. You will see that these inhabitants had a comfortable life. They had school, theatre, bowling alley, tram and even an ice making factory! This is a cool place to wonder around. Kolmanskop with the houses slowly filling up with sand and the furniture still sitting inside is such an eerie sight, hard to believe they once had a bowling alley and an ice factory out there.
