Discovering Wild Strawberries While Herding Goats and Dreaming of Turning This Place into a Tourist Spot

Hello everyone!

Today, I spent some time outside helping take care of our goats near my parents' house in the mountain. Instead of staying inside, I walked around the area while watching where the goats went to eat grass.

While following them, I noticed some wild strawberries growing along the way. I stopped for a moment to look at them. It was a simple discovery, but it made me happy. I did not expect to find wild strawberries while doing my usual activity of taking care of our goats.

As I continued walking, I enjoyed looking at the green surroundings. The area has plenty of space, trees, and mountain views. From our place, we can see parts of Isulan and Tacurong. Whenever I spend time here, I feel less stressed. I can walk around, breathe fresh air, and enjoy the quiet environment.

While looking at the area, I started imagining what we could do with this place in the future. I thought about building a few native kubo houses where visitors could sit, rest, and enjoy the view. And we have a native coffee and native chicken to serve. It could also be a nice place for jogging in the morning when the weather is good.

But then, I remembered that my father prefers a quiet life. He does not interested in making our place open to the public. Maybe he is happy with how things are now, with our family, our animals, and our peaceful surroundings.

I understand his point. Sometimes, we see beautiful tourist spots on social media and immediately think about making something similar. We often focus on the possible income without thinking about the changes that visitors might bring.

After thinking about it, I laughed at myself. Maybe we do not need to turn this place into a tourist spot. Our goats already have a wide area to walk around and eat grass. Haha! Let them enjoy their mountain home!

For now, I will continue helping with the goats and enjoying the simple activities here. Who knows? Maybe our mountain life is already enough to make us happy.

Thank you for reading my story. This is my own picture and the lead photo was edited in Canva.

Have a nice day!💛
