Hola amigos || Hello friends
Hay una cosa que aun después de casi 30 años después me sirve para relajarme y olvidarme del mundo exterior y es jugar videojuegos. Es increíble los gritos que uno puede pegar cuando la emoción llega a nosotros, esa adrenalina y ansiedad de no perder una vida cuando se trata de estos juegos retro pues como ya sabemos, una vida hace mucho la diferencia pues acá no hay vuelta atrás, eres tú con un mando en la mano o en mi caso, un teclado para poder liberar completamente ese estrés.
There’s one thing that, even after almost 30 years, still helps me relax and forget about the outside world, and that’s playing video games. It’s amazing how loud you can scream when the excitement hits that adrenaline rush and the anxiety of not losing a life when playing these retro games. As we all know, losing a life makes a huge difference because there’s no turning back here; it’s just you with a controller in your hand or, in my case, a keyboard to completely release that stress.
Es extraño pero ya antes lo hemos mencionado, en su mayoría estos juegos son más complicados que los actuales y quizás por eso, nuestra generación es de esas que no se rinden, que aprendió que el intentarlo muchas veces no es fracaso si no aprendizaje pues seamos consiente, cuando enfrentábamos a un jefe en la NEs casi siempre a la primera perdíamos y de ahí aprendíamos que hacer mejor. O sea, debíamos realizar una estrategia funcional para poder acabar con el jefe. Eso nos hizo calculadores ja ja ja ja…
It’s strange, but as we’ve mentioned before, most of these games are more complicated than today’s games, and maybe that’s why our generation is one that doesn’t give up we learned that trying many times isn’t a failure but a learning experience. Let’s be honest: when we faced a boss on the NES, we almost always lost the first time, and that’s how we learned what to do better. In other words, we had to come up with a workable strategy to defeat the boss. That made us pretty calculating, ha ha ha ha…
Además de jugarlo en la NEs que tenía, recuerdo que los fines de semanas que a mis primos y a mí nos llevaban al centro comercial para que jugáramos a aquellas maquinas Arcades en ese entonces creo que tenía otro nombre Galaxian. Creo que Galaga es su sucesor para la NEs o es al revés. La verdad no conozco de fondo la historia de la franquicia pero sí sé que estos juegos fueron muy populares en su época. Aun sin tener una historia de fondo que explicara en sí que ocurría, era evidente que te enfrentabas a naves extraterrestres evitando la invasión a la tierra. Quizás años después en la película de Adam Sandler llamada Píxeles nos llegaron a confirmas dicha teoría ja ja ja…
Besides playing it on the NES I had, I remember that on weekends my cousins and I would be taken to the mall to play those arcade machines back then, I think it had a different name, like Galaxian. I think Galaga is its successor for the NES, or maybe it’s the other way around. To be honest, I don’t know the franchise’s history in depth, but I do know that these games were very popular in their day. Even without a backstory explaining exactly what was happening, it was clear that you were facing off against alien spaceships to prevent an invasion of Earth. Maybe years later, in Adam Sandler’s movie Pixels, that theory was confirmed haha…
La diferencia a otros similares a este juego es que no nos encontramos contra los enemigos en escuadro ya formado, en lugar de eso las naves enemigas van entrando y mientras vamos subiendo de nivel algunas de esas naves intentan atacarnos disparando o incluso lanzándose directamente contra nosotros para luego ponerse nuevamente en formación. Nuestro único objetivo en el videojuego es destruirlas mientras ingresan para cuando ya estén formadas tengamos menos naves que destruir.
The difference between this game and similar ones is that we don’t face enemies in a pre-formed squadron; instead, enemy ships enter one by one, and as we level up, some of those ships try to attack us by firing or even charging directly at us before returning to formation. Our only objective in the game is to destroy them as they enter, so that by the time they’re back in formation, we’ll have fewer ships to destroy.
