Hola amigos || Hello friends

There are moments in life that we will certainly never forget, and just as there are such moments, there are also sounds, music and art that we remember and that resonate in our souls just as they did the first time we heard them. And then there is Radiohead, a band that seems to have provided the soundtrack to our most intimate moments to those years of discovery, doubt and rebellion that characterise adolescence.

Radiohead aren’t one of those bands that came together in a recording studio; they were a group of lads who decided to form a band at their school in England, and in fact ‘Radiohead’ wasn’t their first choice of name. There were lots of options that I can’t really remember exactly, but what’s touching is that they’ve always been a group that’s stuck together since the beginning: Thom Yorke (vocals, guitar, piano), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, keyboards, arrangements), Colin Greenwood (bass), Ed O’Brien (guitar, backing vocals) and Philip Selway (drums) lads who are now men and who have left their mark on the annals of rock history.

And perhaps many will think that the band split up because they haven’t released any new material since their album A Moon Shaped Pool, released in 2016, on which they dared to deconstruct their own sound, reinventing themselves with new melancholic textures and daring arrangements that challenged the music industry itself. The story of this band remains so fascinating that it is still very much alive. Listening to Radiohead today is a journey straight back to the past, but also an experience that continues to resonate in the soul just as it did all those years ago. That legacy continues to be passed on by many like me who were lucky enough to experience their art first-hand and, of course, to have them accompany us every step of the way.

Creep was the song that set stages and radio stations alight worldwide. Although, to tell the truth, the way this track came about is another classic chapter in their history. ‘Creep’ was the band’s debut single, and to say it was a massive hit is an understatement. Part of that story is ironic, as Thom himself once mentioned: he never thought that by screaming that pain into the microphone, he’d be discovering that the world was full of people who felt exactly the same as him. That’s why I think we should remember Radiohead with this song.

    So so outstanding 💯

    Pls how about the musichivecover entries is it still on?

  • Creep will always be iconic. It's the national anthem of introverts, haha. It's crazy, right, how individually we feel about certain songs and the way they bring people together.

  • Radiohead isn't just nostalgia; it's a constant reminder that art evolves
