Se preguntarán que he estado haciendo durante un año completo... la respuesta es simple, solo viviendo un día a la vez 💞
Para alguien tan activo o tal vez inquieto como yo 🤣, hacer una pausa es necesario cada cierto tiempo, pero si me preguntan seriamente, de verdad me quedo quieto!
Pues no del todo jajaja, he estado probando nuevas combinaciones y presentaciones, visitando otros lugares con sazones extremas y otras más simples.

You might be wondering what I’ve been up to for a whole year… the answer is simple: just living one day at a time 💞
For someone as active—or maybe restless—as me 🤣, taking a break is necessary every so often, but if you ask me seriously, I really do stay put!
Well, not entirely, hahaha. I’ve been trying out new combinations and presentations, visiting other places with extreme flavors and others with simpler ones.

___Claro que ha sido buena jajaja, he podido despejar un poco esta mente inquieta y disfrutar con mi pequeño hijo y por supuesto con mi adorada Ale 😘
Of course it's been great, hahaha. I've been able to clear my restless mind a little and enjoy spending time with my little son and, of course, with my beloved Ale 😘
Sabores nuevos... / New flavors ...
___ Uno de ellos fue probar una limonada elaborada con leche de coco, les puedo comentar que cosa más buena, no me lo esperaba en la carta de uno de los tantos lugares que recorrí, muy agradable ese sabor, totalmente recomendada, si la quieren hacer me comentan y subo la receta 😜. >One of them was trying a lemonade made with coconut milk—I have to tell you, it was so good! I didn’t expect to find it on the menu at one of the many places I visited. The flavor was really nice—I highly recommend it. If you want to make it, let me know and I’ll post the recipe 😜. ___
Lo más sencillo que comimos en estos caminos culinarios fue la hamburguesa triple , pero les cuento algo, para los 16$ que cuesta cada una, no es la gran cosa, creo que prefiero triple ración de papas fritas, el sitio fue en... bueno la foto lo dice en su empaques jajaja.
The simplest thing we ate on these culinary adventures was the triple burger, but let me tell you something: for the $16 each one costs, it’s not that great. I think I’d rather have a triple serving of fries. The place was at… well, the photo on the packaging says it all, hahaha.
Algo bueno fue esta parrillada extrema, si quieren saber el sitio exacto se lo dejo en privado porque no me pagan publicidad jajaja, pero de verdad estaba buena la bandejota 🤣, si quieren hacerla en casa solo comenten y les doy unos tips maravillosos para hacerla sin mucha complicaciones.
One highlight was this epic barbecue. If you want to know the exact spot, I’ll send it to you privately because they don’t pay me for advertising, hahaha, but seriously, that huge platter was delicious 🤣. If you want to make it at home, just leave a comment and I’ll give you some great tips on how to do it without too much hassle.
De los mismos creadores de la parrillada anterior también degustamos esta maravilla, eso si, si me preguntan como hacer estos rollitos, ahí si no puedo ayudarles, en dos intentos de hacerlos fue un desastre mi cocina jajaja, es mejor comerlos en un buen establecimiento 😆, recuerden los nombres de restauran solo en comentarios jajaja.
From the same creators of the previous barbecue, we also got to try this delicious treat. That said, if you ask me how to make these rolls, I can’t help you there—my kitchen was a total mess after two attempts at making them, hahaha. It’s better to eat them at a good restaurant 😆. Remember to mention the restaurant names only in the comments, hahaha.
Otra cosa que les recomiendo a quienes están en Venezuela es comer en la playa un pescado con tostones , eso si no tiene precio , es algo que disfrutarán al máximo, playa y comida juntos jajaja, este animalito fue degustado exactamente en la Guaira, la playa se las comento solo por mensajes jajaja, recuerden la publicidad no es paga 🤣

Ahora bien... el post era para contarles que hace un cocinero fuera de la cocina, bueno , somos padres, esposo, amigos, hijos y sobre todo seres humanos que dedicamos nuestro tiempo a complacer paladares con mucho amor, así que tomarnos un día a la vez es algo bien merecido, en este año de pausa la playa fue uno de mis lugares de paz 😊
Anyway... the point of this post was to tell you what a chef does outside the kitchen. Well, we’re parents, spouses, friends, children, and above all, human beings who devote our time to delighting palates with lots of love, so taking things one day at a time is something we truly deserve. During this year of taking a break, the beach was one of my havens of peace 😊

No puedo irme sin recomendarles un lugar muy genial en Venezuela , a este si le puedo hacer la publicidad, son las famosas Arepas de Margaret en la Guaira, no se su condición luego de los terremotos que nos causaron tanto daño, pero son un punto de encuentro fabuloso, sus arepas se las recomiendo al 100%, todo tipo de relleno y combinaciones posibles, los costos son muy accesibles 😉
I can't leave without recommending a really great place in Venezuela—I can definitely give this one a shout-out: the famous Arepas de Margaret in La Guaira. I don't know how things are there after the earthquakes that caused us so much damage, but it's a fabulous gathering spot. I highly recommend their arepas—they have all kinds of fillings and possible combinations, and the prices are very affordable 😉
Pero no todo fue paseo jajaja, también dedique tiempo a probar sabores y combinaciones en casa, como los tequeños de guayaba y queso. Luego de un par de variantes en mis masas creo que di con el punto perfecto para esta receta, si la quieren solo comenten y la estaré compartiendo en mis próximos pots 🤗
But it wasn't all fun and games, hahaha—I also spent some time experimenting with flavors and combinations at home, like guava and cheese tequeños. After trying a couple of different variations on my dough, I think I've found the perfect balance for this recipe. Otra de las cosas que hice fue probar en variar la forma de hornear pizzas, les cuento que el resultado de estas pruebas fue estupendo, así que una de mis próximas publicaciones será una pizza espectacular de prosciutto, que no pueden dejar pasar de alto 👨🍳
Another thing I did was experiment with different ways of baking pizzas. I’ll tell you, the results of these experiments were fantastic, so one of my next posts will feature an amazing prosciutto pizza that you won’t want to miss 👨🍳
Otra de las cosas que hice durante un año fue probar panes y dulces en diversas panaderías, pero... ahí si les digo algo , ninguno estuvo a la altura de mis Berlinesas de crema de coco jajaja, cosa más buena, si no las hecho, se están perdiendo de algo maravilloso 😁
Another thing I did over the course of a year was try different kinds of bread and pastries at various bakeries, but... let me tell you something—none of them measured up to my coconut cream Berlinesas, hahaha. They’re the best thing ever—if you haven’t made them, you’re missing out on something wonderful 😁
Creo que al final lo que hacemos los cocineros fuera de la cocina es buscar otras cocinas donde comer jajaja, como esta cachapa llanera, que sin duda son las mejores , así que si quieren una rica cachapa, tienen que ir a los llanos venezolanos, por allá estuve también unos días comiendo hasta quedar como tonel de barco pirata jajaja
I think that, in the end, what we chefs do outside the kitchen is look for other places to eat, hahaha—like this cachapa from the Llanos, which are undoubtedly the best. So if you want a delicious cachapa, you have to go to the Venezuelan Llanos; I was there for a few days, too, eating until I looked like a pirate ship’s barrel, hahaha.
Mi recomendación final 👉 vivan un día a la vez, hagan pausa una vez a la semana como mínimo, disfruten compartiendo con sus hijos, con sus parejas, padres o amigos, la vida es una sola y es esta que hoy respiramos, tal vez hayan otras vidas, pero esas son otras... 😉
My final recommendation 👉 Live one day at a time, take a break at least once a week, and enjoy spending time with your children, partners, parents, or friends. We only have one life, and it’s the one we’re living right now. Maybe there are other lives, but those are a different story... 😉
