Hive Grove Season 3 is Live: The Leaderboard Race Begins

Do you play Hive Grove? If so, which type of player are you?

  1. Do you simply water your tree every day and claim liquid HIVE?

  2. Or, in addition to watering your tree and claiming rewards, do you also actively complete daily leaderboard missions?

Hive Grove Season 3 just kicked off yesterday, yet the race to secure a spot in the top 20 on the leaderboard is already incredibly fierce. Rankings shift by the minute as every player strives to accumulate as many points as possible, as quickly as they can.

This season is quite different from previous ones. While past seasons spanned a full month, this season operates differently: leaderboard winners are now announced weekly. This means that every week, players compete for leaderboard positions to earn rewards in the form of liquid HIVE.

Players are competing for leaderboard rewards across these tiers:

RankReward
125% of the reward pool
218% of the reward pool
312% of the reward pool
4–1025%/7 of the reward pool
11–2020%/10 of the reward pool

These new rules for Season 3 provide everyone with more opportunities to earn rewards on a weekly basis.

To climb the leaderboard, players must complete daily, weekly, and seasonal missions to earn points—with each mission offering a different number of points.

What’s interesting about this season is that many missions now rely on luck. These particular tasks reveal who happens to be the "luckiest" player on any given day.

Want to test your luck? Try earning points through "magic sprouts," "mystery sprouts," and word games!

I was initially drawn to this game because it’s so laid-back. The gameplay is simple: log in, water your tree, and claim your rewards.
That’s it.
No need to stress over complex strategies or worry about being the absolute best.

But now, everything has changed. Ever since I joined the leaderboard challenge, I’ve been striving to rack up as many points as possible by completing every mission—all in an effort to climb the leaderboard and stay at the top.

Even though many players are competing to be the best, they’re still incredibly generous—happily sending gifts to others and always lending a hand by watering fellow players' trees.

The best part is how lively the campfire area has become! Players gather there to chat about all sorts of things. In previous seasons, I might have only seen 3 or 4 players online when I visited, but this season, almost every time I log in, there are a dozen or more people hanging out at the campfire.

So, which type of Hive Grove player are you?

Don’t forget to stop by my profile in Hive Grove — see you at the campfire!

Please keep posts here to gaming content rather than leaderboards/stats/etc.

  • Leaderboard chasing changing Hive Grove from relaxed watering to active missions is a big shift. Magic sprouts and mystery sprouts making it luck based sounds fun and frustrating at once. Good luck in Season 3!
