Hello everyone! This is Episode 5 of the Kagok Talk Podcast—a small podcast where I practice speaking English, and also part of the #NaPodPoMo challenge.

In this fifth episode, I talk about gorengan (Indonesian-style deep-fried snacks). I explore why Indonesians love them so much and share my own personal favorites. In fact, gorengan are so deeply woven into the fabric of daily life in Indonesia that there’s a common saying: hanging out just isn’t complete without gorengan!

    Unfortunately Gorengan is not so well woven into German society haha I looooove fried tofu and banana. Never tried fried tapai but I can imagine it to taste awesome too! I could eat that stuff every single day if it would not be that expensive in the restaurants :D And before you start: do it yourself - I am not a great chef and frying things is not something I would try (for the benefit of our kitchen haha)
