Greetings my amazing friends of @Hivediy community. I am back again, and today I am here with another tutorial on how I made this sandal. I hope you enjoy the process.

I started by cutting the sole part of the sandal. I used the sole shape and marked it on Caterpillar Nora. After marking the shape properly, I carefully cut it out with my scissors to bring out the sole.
After cutting the sole, I also marked and cut another light faceless material and attached it to the sole. I did this to give the sole a little more height. I applied gum to both parts and joined them together properly.
I carefully marked and cut the upper of the sandal using the upper pattern. I placed the pattern on the black material, traced around it with a pen, and marked it properly. After cutting it, I took it to the sewing machine and sewed around the edges carefully. After that, I marked the place where I needed to put the buckle. I punched a hole there and fixed the buckle so that the sandal would have a place for adjustment when wearing it.
I then took the insole and joined it with the upper. I placed the upper on the insole and marked the places where the upper needed to enter. After marking them, I punched and cut the holes properly so the upper could enter and be lasted well.
I started lasting the sandal properly. I placed all the upper pieces inside the holes I had punched and cut, and then I began to adjust them carefully.
I made sure the upper was pulled properly around the insole while lasting it. I adjusted everything carefully until I got the shape I wanted for the sandal.
After lasting the sandal, I applied gum to the sole and the lasted insole. I made sure I applied gum to every area where the two parts needed to be joined.
After applying the gum, I left it in the sun for some minutes to dry properly. After that, I joined the parts together and used my hammer to carefully hammer the edges so that everything would attach properly.
After joining the sandal, I took it to the filing machine and carefully smoothed the round edges of the sandal.
I filed the edges carefully until I got a better shape. Smoothing the edges makes the sandal look more attractive and neat. If the edges are not filed properly, the sandal can look rough, so I took my time to make sure the edges came out well.
And this is the final look of the sandal. ❤️
This is my first time making this type of sandal design, and I am really happy with the final outcome. The customer really loved the design, and because of that, he asked me to make two more sandals of the same design for his children. I am really glad that my customer enjoyed my work. It always gives me courage to continue giving my customers the best. I am also very excited to complete the work and share the process of how I made the sandal here in this amazing community.
