‎How I Make This Men’s Shoe Design | Step by Step Tutorial

img_1791622959113.jpg

Greetings my amazing friends of @Hivediy community. I am back again, and today I am here with another tutorial on how I made this men's shoe design. I hope you enjoy the process. ‎

Materials Used ‎5 pairs of faceless ‎2 pairs of thick black faceless ‎2 pair of buckle ‎1 pair of welt ‎Top gum 3 pairs of thick maco faceless 1 pairs of thick brown leather ‎2 pairs of soft brown leather ‎4 pairs of lining

Tools Used ‎‎Scissors ‎Brush ‎Razor Hammer‎ Filing machine Measuring tape Punch ‎

‎Firstly, I gathered all the necessary materials and tools for the work, as usual. This makes things easier when I am working because I don't have to keep looking around for the tools I need. It also helps me avoid distractions while working. ‎img_1791626929294.jpg

‎I started with the upper of the shoe. I placed the upper pattern on the material and marked it into four pieces. After marking it, I carefully cut the pieces into shape. ‎ ‎This time, I mixed skin-coloured material with leather, so one side of the shoe has a skin colour while the other side has leather. I like how these two materials come together to give the shoe a different look. ‎ Screenshot_20261010-085829_1.jpg

‎After cutting the pieces, I took the upper to the sewing machine and sewed the edges of the shoe. Then I took my buckle and fixed it on the upper. The buckle makes it easier to adjust the shoe when it is too loose or when it needs to be adjusted for a better fit. ‎ IMG-20260830-WA0018.jpg ‎ ‎Next, I took the insole pattern and marked it on black faceless material. After marking it, I carefully cut it into shape. ‎ IMG_20260712_150042_201.jpg

‎I then cut a piece of light leather, placed it on top of the insole, applied gum, and joined them together properly. ‎ IMG-20260830-WA0023.jpg ‎ ‎I took the upper together with the insole and placed the upper on the insole. I measured it properly and used my pen to mark the places where the upper needed to enter. ‎ ‎After marking it, I punched holes in the insole. These holes would allow me to insert and fix the upper properly. ‎ IMG-20260830-WA0020.jpg ‎ ‎After finishing the punching, I inserted the upper into the holes I had made. Then I placed my foot-shaped last on the insole and started adjusting and lasting the shoe properly. ‎ ‎I took my time with this part to make sure the upper was well positioned and the shoe had a good balance and shape. ‎ IMG-20260830-WA0024.jpg ‎ ‎I used the same shape as the insole to mark the back sole on Nora. After marking it, I carefully cut it out with my scissors and made sure the edges were neat. ‎ ‎This part would serve as the back sole of the shoe, which I would join with the lasted upper.

IMG_20261010_131144_791.jpg ‎ ‎After finishing the lasting and cutting the back sole, I applied gum to the back of the shoe, both on the sole and on the lasted upper. ‎ ‎I left the parts in the sun to dry for about one hour. After that, I joined the two parts together and hammered them properly so that they would hold firmly. ‎ Screenshot_20261010-090105.jpg ‎ ‎After joining and hammering the shoe, I took it to the filing machine and smoothed the round edges of the sole until I got a better shape. ‎ ‎This part is very important because it helps the shoe come out neat and gives the edges a better finish. I carefully filed the edges to make sure the shoe looked good. ‎ IMG_20260826_093520_758.jpg ‎ ‎Final Look🖤 ‎‎ And this is the final look of the shoe.

‎ ‎This shoe design is one that my customers really love. I can remember making this design for myself a very long time ago. Immediately people saw it, they started asking me to make it for them because they also loved the design. ‎ ‎Since then, I have made this design for many customers, and they still love it. I have continued making it, and I also enjoyed making this shoe again and sharing the process with you here. ‎ ‎I am happy to share how I make this shoes with my amazing friends in this wonderful community, @hivediy. I hope you enjoyed following the process and that you love the shoe too.❤️ ‎ ‎All the pictures in this post are mine and were originally taken by me. ‎ ‎ See you guys in my next tutorial! 🤗
