[MOVIE] Out of Time: A Mother Did Everything to Save Her Only Child

‎

‎Hello everyone, welcome to the Scrobble.life community. Today, I want to share my review of a movie titled Out of Time. This is a movie that has continued to ring in my mind since the day I watched it. Honestly, I felt so bad while watching this movie because of the things that happened in it. There are some parts that really touched me, and I want to share my thoughts about them with you. ‎ ‎The main actor in this movie is Frederick Leonard, who played the role of a doctor. He is also the producer of the movie Out of Time. Another important character is Ibinabo, who played the role of a mother with a sick child. ‎ ‎Ibinabo had only one child, whom she loved so much. She cherished her son with everything she had because he was her only child, and she did everything possible to take good care of him. Unfortunately, her son suffered from a very serious illness that could cost him his life if he did not receive proper treatment. Ibinabo tried her best to raise money for his hospital treatment. She was a hardworking woman who did everything she could to make sure her son got better. However, his condition became more serious, and despite all her efforts, her only son eventually died. Ibinabo cried bitterly after losing him. ‎ ‎Sincerely, I felt the pain when I watched the part where her only son died. At first, I thought the boy would survive because of how hard his mother was trying to make sure he got better. Finding out that he died made me feel so bad. I wished the boy had survived at the end of the movie so that his mother could be happy again. I felt so sorry for her because he was her only son. I am not a woman, but I understand how mothers care for their children, especially when they have only one child. Honestly, I would have preferred it if the child had survived because I could not bear to see his mother go through that kind of pain. ‎ ‎ ‎There was another terrible thing the mother did before her child died. Ibinabo was a hardworking woman, but all her savings and resources had been spent on her son's treatment. Then, before the boy died, the doctor taking care of him gave her some good news that also came with a painful problem. He told her that he had found a professional doctor abroad who could treat her son and help him recover, but the treatment would cost ₦100 million. Ibinabo felt happy to hear that there was still hope for her son, but at the same time, she was worried because she had no idea where she could get such a huge amount of money. She told the doctor not to worry, saying that even if she had to sit down and communicate with the devil, she would do it for her son. After saying this, she left to look for a way to get the money. ‎ ‎Ibinabo went to meet one of her friends who was involved in criminal activities. She begged her friend to help her, and the friend gave her a solution. She told Ibinabo that she would have to join their criminal group. Ibinabo had no other choice in her mind because she was desperate, and nobody was coming to her aid. She eventually agreed to join the group because she wanted to save her son. The group went on a criminal operation in which the governor's wife was killed. Ibinabo joined them even though that was not the kind of life she wanted to live. During the operation, many people escaped, and some died, but Ibinabo was among those who survived. They also stole a large amount of money from the governor's house, enough to solve the problem she was facing. When she escaped with the money, she did not go anywhere else. She went straight to the hospital and gave the money to the doctor, begging him to do everything he had promised because all she wanted was to see her son alive. However, the doctor felt terrible because her son was already dead. When Ibinabo heard the news, she was disappointed and cried bitterly. At that very moment, the police arrived and arrested her. ‎ ‎Honestly, I was not happy when the police arrested this woman. They did not seem interested in understanding what had happened or why she had become involved in the criminal activity. All they cared about was that she was a criminal and had to go to prison. They locked her up and kept saying that she was a criminal. But, from my point of view, this woman did not get involved in crime for pleasure. She did it because she loved her child so much and did not want to lose him. Since nobody was helping her, she felt she had to do whatever she could to save him. I also felt that the police should have investigated the whole situation more carefully because Ibinabo was not the person who killed the governor's wife. She was only the driver in the criminal group. I believe the police should have taken the time to look into her own role in what happened instead of treating her like someone who had committed the same crime as everyone else. ‎ ‎ ‎The case eventually reached the point where the governor decided to take it to court. However, things began to change when many people saw a live video shared by the humble doctor. In the video, he explained what had happened and said that Ibinabo was not a killer. After people watched the video and heard his explanation, many people in the community disagreed with the idea that she should be sentenced to life imprisonment. They began speaking up for her and calling for her to be set free. ‎ ‎Sincerely, I stood with those people because I also wanted Ibinabo to be released. In my opinion, what she did was not because she wanted to enjoy a criminal life. She did it because she wanted to see her child get better again. A mother who truly loves her child will find it difficult to watch that child suffer without trying everything possible to save him. It is especially painful when that child is her only son. Carrying a child for nine months and then losing him is not something any mother would want to experience. I understand that joining a criminal group was wrong, but I also understand the desperation that pushed Ibinabo into making that decision. That is why I wanted her to be given a chance and for the court to consider the circumstances that led her to that point. ‎ ‎After all the protests and public support, people from different places began standing with Ibinabo and demanding her freedom. Many believed that the government would win the case because it had taken the matter so seriously. I was not happy with the way the government handled the situation because I felt they should have looked into the full story and how everything started. Their main concern seemed to be the death of the governor's wife, without paying enough attention to what had pushed Ibinabo into the criminal group. However, I was excited when a president from another country learned about Ibinabo's situation and took an interest in her case. He heard about how she had joined the criminal group because she was desperate to save her child. On the day the court was about to deliver its final judgment and send Ibinabo to prison, the president arrived in court and spoke to the court, asking for her to be released. That was how the announcement was finally made that Ibinabo would be set free. ‎

‎When I watched the final part where Ibinabo was released, I felt so much joy inside me because I believed she deserved another chance. I was very happy that she did not end up spending the rest of her life in prison. I don't know exactly how to explain it, but this movie felt so real to me. It was very touching, and there were many lessons to learn from it. I really enjoyed watching the movie, even though I still felt terrible for Ibinabo because she lost her only child. Seeing how much she cherished and loved her son made his death even more painful. I don't think any mother would want to go through such an experience. Although I was happy that she finally got justice, I still wished her son could have survived so that she could have had the happy ending she worked so hard for. ‎ ‎All the pictures are screenshots from the movie taken by me. ‎ ‎Rating: 90/100
