Nocturnal felines, guardian cats, and daily adventures at home

Felinos nocturnos, gatos guardianes y aventuras cotidianas en casa

A very special and affectionate greeting to all dear friends, cat lovers, and members of the wonderful #caturday community on Hive! I hope you are all having an excellent and relaxing weekend. As I do every week, today I want to share with you a series of anecdotes, curious moments, and very particular encounters that I have had the fortune of capturing with my phone's camera over the past few days, combining the daily experiences of my home with the constant visitors roaming around the neighborhood.

It all started one night when I was peeking out the front door, enjoying the cool night air. At that moment, I seized the opportunity to capture a handsome black cat quietly strolling down the opposite sidewalk, moving with that mysterious elegance that only black cats possess in the dead of night.

Shortly after, the evening brought more company when two other neighborhood cats came by to visit: a lovely light-colored female cat and a gray one. I don't know their exact names or which house they belong to, but they are quite charming, friendly animals that always linger for a while, observing their surroundings with curiosity before moving along.

After watching them for a bit, I decided to go back inside the house and was met with a rather amusing surprise upon discovering Catirrucio paying close attention, with a fixed gaze and wide-open eyes, closely watching my small breeding setup of baby quail and chicks. It seems the little feline is eager to find any opportunity to get closer, and I strongly suspect he spent the entire night wide awake, plotting a strategy or simply mesmerized by the tiny sounds the birds made inside their box.

The night was evidently so intense for the felines that the next morning, very early on, I found yet another surprise when stepping out into the garden: there was the yellow cat resting peacefully among the dry leaves. He looked for all the world like he had spent the whole night partying, carrying an immense sleepiness, half-closed eyes, and an attitude of total exhaustion, yet still managing to remain somewhat alert to his surroundings.

Later on, when I headed out to run an errand to buy some coffee, I ran into the endearing "stubby-tail" cat walking casually down the sidewalk. I have always wondered what her real story is, why her tail is short, and how she navigates her life around these streets. The truth is, you can tell she lives in a house where she is cared for and treated very well, and it even looks like she might be nursing little ones of her own recently.

This is how my week has gone, my friends. Despite having plenty of work with my daily chores, there is always time to connect with nature and our beloved animals. I hope you thoroughly enjoy these photos, have a wonderful Saturday, and share the antics of your own felines as well. A big hug to everyone across the blockchain!
