Hace mucho que había comprado dos sets de escarchas que me parecieron hermosas porque cada cajita contiene escarchas de formas diferentes, la compré pues las imaginé en alguna que otra manualidad.
Haciendo scroll de ideas encontré la forma de integrar mis escarchas a un marcalibros, me tomé la tarea de pegar con una pinza pieza por pieza, no quería que estuvieran sueltas porque tienden a quedar todas abajo, pero eso es a gusto personal, tal vez se pueden dejar ambas, me gustan los marcalibros, decoran muy bien los libros de texto y las agendas, uso algunos para ello, de hecho hacen que mis lecturas sean divertidas.

A while back, I bought two sets of glitter that I thought were beautiful because each little box contains different shapes of glitter. I bought them because I imagined using them in one craft project or another.
While scrolling through ideas, I found a way to incorporate my glitter into a bookmark. I took the time to glue each piece on with a pair of tweezers—I didn’t want them to be loose because they tend to all fall to the bottom, but that’s just a personal preference; maybe you could leave them both loose. I love bookmarks—they really spruce up textbooks and planners. I use some for that purpose, in fact, they make my reading sessions more fun.

La cartulina blanca será el fondo de nuestro marcalibros, tiene una medida de 5 centímetros de ancho por el largo de una hoja tamaño carta. Recortamos dos piezas. Yo estuve reciclando cartulina, me gustó que tiene las orillas cortadas con formas.
Para el marcalibros rosa:
Corta una pieza de cartulina estampada del tamaño de la cartulina blanca, quitando un espacio de margen.
Pega la cartulina de formas sobre la cartulina blanca.
Recorta dos piezas de cartulina color rosado con medidas de 3 centímetros de ancho por 15 centímetros de largo.
Recorta dos láminas de una bolsa de acetato con la misma medida de la cartulina color rosado.
Con ayuda de un cúter y una regla, corta la forma de un marco en una de las piezas de cartulina rosada.
En la pieza completa de cartulina color rosado, puedes ir pegando cada escarcha con ayuda de una pinza.

The white cardstock will serve as the background for our bookmark; it measures 5 centimeters wide by the length of a letter-size sheet of paper. Cut out two pieces. I was recycling some cardstock—I liked that it had patterned edges.
For the pink bookmark:
Cut a piece of patterned cardstock the same size as the white cardstock, leaving a margin.
Glue the patterned cardstock onto the white cardstock.
Cut out two pieces of pink cardstock measuring 3 centimeters wide by 15 centimeters long.
Cut two sheets from a plastic sleeve that are the same size as the pink cardstock.
Using a craft knife and a ruler, cut out a frame shape from one of the pink cardstock pieces.
On the whole piece of pink cardstock, you can glue each piece of glitter in place using tweezers.

Cubre los espacios que gustes con la escarcha, al terminar pega la bolsa de acetato sobre la cartulina con la escarcha y sobre ella el marco.
Luego pega la pieza en el marcalibros.
Con un perforador, abre un agujero en el centro superior del marcalibros.
Si es de tu agrado escribe con marcadores alguna frase.
Corta dos trozos de cordón que sea de tu agrado e introduce por el agujero, ata con un nudo sencillo, es para decoración y en cada punta de cordón, realiza la terminación con un nudo.
Ya tenemos nuestro primer marcador rosa.

Cover the areas you like with glitter. When you’re done, glue the acetate sheet onto the cardstock with the glitter, and then glue the frame on top of that.
Then glue the piece onto the bookmark.
Using a hole punch, punch a hole in the top center of the bookmark.
If you’d like, write a phrase on it with markers.
Cut two pieces of string of your choice and thread them through the hole; tie a simple knot—this is for decoration—and tie a knot at each end of the string.
Now we have our first pink bookmark.

Repitiendo los pasos anteriores, corta la pieza de fondo que es la cartulina color blanco con medida de 5 centímetros de ancho por el largo de una hoja tamaño carta.
Corta una pieza de cartulina estampada color azul del tamaño de la cartulina blanca, quitando un espacio de margen.
Pega la cartulina de formas sobre la cartulina blanca.
Recorta dos piezas de cartulina color azul con medidas de 3 centímetros de ancho por 15 centímetros de largo.
Toma una de las piezas y recorta el centro dejando un marco.
Pega las escarchas de formas sobre la cartulina color azul.
Pega la bolsa de acetato sobre la cartulina con escarcha y sobre ella el marco.

Repeating the previous steps, cut out the background piece—the white cardstock—measuring 5 centimeters wide by the length of a letter-size sheet of paper.
Cut a piece of blue patterned cardstock the same size as the white cardstock, leaving a margin.
Glue the patterned cardstock onto the white cardstock.
Cut out two pieces of blue cardstock measuring 3 centimeters wide by 15 centimeters long.
Take one of the pieces and cut out the center, leaving a frame.
Glue the shaped sequins onto the blue cardstock.
Glue the acetate bag onto the cardstock with the sequins, and then glue the frame on top of it.

Pega la pieza con el marco y la escarcha sobre el marcalibros.
Con un perforador abre un orificio en la parte superior central.
Si es de tu agrado con marcadores escribe alguna frase.
Toma dos trozos de cordón e introdúcelo por el agujero y ata con un nudo simple, corta si es necesario algún excedente de cordón y en cada punta realiza un nudo.
Con ello terminamos el marcalibros color azul.
