✨ Letras inspiradoras: Entre pensarlo mucho o poco [ES/EN]

Hello, dear Womentribe friends! I hope you’re all doing great today. I’m happy because last week I finally took care of something I’d been putting off—it had been weighing on my mind—but I finally decided to stop overthinking it and just take action. That brings me to @syllem inspiring words on this very topic.

If someone were to ask me whether it’s better to think a lot or a little, I’d say it depends on the context. Because, yes, deciding whether to make a certain meal today or tomorrow isn’t the same as something much more serious that requires analyzing various factors to make the best choice. Whatever the case may be, the moment of making a decision can be scary and paralyze us to the point where we’d rather not make one at all.

Throughout my life, I’ve thought a lot about some of those decisions that would change the course of my life, and at other times I didn’t think about it at all and just went with the flow. The funny thing is that, if I have to think back, the times I made choices on impulse—I may have regretted them because I felt terribly scared afterward—but at the same time, it felt liberating, and some very positive things may have come out of it. I just needed that extra push.

There’s also the flip side of thinking something through so much to make sure everything goes well, and in the end, it doesn’t turn out that way because variables came into play that I didn’t see coming at all—but that’s part of the challenge, too. I agree that planning well makes me feel more confident and less anxious. Then there are the times when I think about something so much that I get stuck there—in the thinking phase—and never actually do it. That’s when I feel that if I were more impulsive, I wouldn’t overthink it so much and would just go for it, but well, it depends on what it is.

I can't imagine myself being the kind of person who doesn't plan something important—like a move, a job change, or life choices that make a big difference in my day-to-day life—without thinking it through carefully. Sometimes I like to write down the pros and cons and then see what works best for me. So we're back to square one: it all depends on the moment, the circumstances, and the problem or decision at hand.

But I think it’s possible to find a middle ground—one where you carefully consider the step you’re taking and, at the same time, have the drive to follow through. That would be the ideal balance; that’s the goal I’m striving for. I feel that to get there, I need more confidence in myself and in the fact that everything can turn out very well—and if that’s not the case, at least to feel the courage of having tried, and from that I’ll take away what I’ve learned. I suppose that now I can think about decisions more calmly because I don’t have anyone depending on me; when the time comes, we’ll see how it goes. For now, I think I still need to take charge of my present and improve certain areas of my life so they don’t become obstacles in the future. This makes me anxious, but I try to cope as best I can, always remembering that I have to trust my intuition and think positively about myself. The rest will become clear as I go along.

He ahí el dilema.

    Saluditos.
