I was in town again yesterday morning for more grain, a much larger load this time.
5 Barrels needed to load into the trailer.
I got another nice sunrise though.
The trailer managed to hold all the grain for the trip back north.
Over a ton of grain shoveled out for the sheep and alpaca.
Around 9am I was in the garden pulling hte rest of the pea plants and removed the fence and posts.
Got the tomatoes and cucumbers harvested for the day.
Mid day @stryeyz and I headed up to Deer Park to pickup the first 2 of the deck chairs.
The cat had caught a snake that we rescued and let go under the plastic in the greenhouse. It was a rather chill little snake and not too damaged by the cat.
I got the bikes all loaded onto the carrier on the car for our ride.
Made the 13x2 HSW panel and got it printed in hopes it would fit my headlight once it arrived.
Met up at Farwell elementary with our friends for the bike ride.
R was rolling around and thumped his bike into a curb. A short while later the tire blew before we could even start the ride.
Thankfully Matt had a patch kit and we got the tire good enough for the ride.
We all ended up spread out on the Children Of the Sun trail and there was some serious clouds to the south and west.
Holy shit was that some strong wind gusts from the storms heading our way.
The wind was great for some people flying kites.
We stopped at the summit of the COTS trail which is where the Fairview fire started.
The storms were HEADIN RIGHT FER US!
The wall of dust from the storms preceded the rain that came right after.
It started to dump pretty good and I was not too excited about riding with the slick front tire I still have on my bike. J and I got back first and I tossed the bikes on the rack while we waited for the others.
OF COURSE it was not a huge group of storms and soon the sky cleared. Eventually everyone made it back and we decided to go for Cold Stone.
R's was full on as big as his head!
We all ended up back at our place for dinner and @stryeyz got more painting of the new chairs done. My new bike headlight arrived and I got it charging.
It will be superb for early morning rides now. And with the sunlight changing duration I will be needing it more and more as we get to Fall.
Bit more rain overnight last night. This morning we are going to friend's across the way for breakfast and so Isaac and I can go over his water feature design and progress. I have more to do in the garden, prep tools for jobs tomorrow, and make sure the sheep waters get filled.
