My barn spider by my window has been spending a lot of time in the middle of her web. She has been there day and night until this morning when she is hunkered down as I bet she can tell rain is about to hit.

I went to my weekly session then headed the short distance to my client's house where I swapped out the 15a gfi for a 20a and installed a new cover. Ended up being a timer and switch in the basement that got turned off. The night lighting is back working again.
My other client next door caught me before I left and we scheduled the tree felling and haul off for Tuesday next week.

I got home before noon then was on the road for a ride. It was warm but not hot.

Nicely the smoke has finally mellowed and there were clouds around that helped keep the direct sun heat at bay.

I made the loop around Deer Park and was home just before 2.
I love having my power meter in my bike as it gives me FAR better metrics than just heart rate which is far too wide of zones. The power zones are a much better reflection of the effort I put out.
I was home for a bit when I checked the doppler and saw that there was rain inbound, I had gotten my ride in just in time it seemed.

I found this carpenters measuring stick on the side of Deer Park Milan road. I had seen it on a previous ride but passed it by until this time seeing it again I stopped to grab it. Still pretty good shape Milwaukee brand, despite the green paint on the half of it.

I spent part of the afternoon putting stuff under cover for the rain which ended up being just a sprinkling. Picked J up from practice after I had put the roast in the oven. It was cool enough in the afternoon to run the oven. The roast came out really nice and was super tasty for dinner.

Taking R to an appointment this morning after getting J to school, then will take R to school when done. Rain is about to hit and looks to be a lot more than yesterday. I get the other new tire for my bike today which I will get swapped out, also a new stud finder since mine is decades old. This afternoon is the school athletics kick off event at the high school we will go to.
