(I flew back home on this plane yesterday. The nice thing about small airports, like the one in Kalamata, is that you get the chance to take photos like this.)
Hi Actifitters,
yesterday was the day I departed from Greece. I had a truly wonderful time there, and I left with mixed feelings—part of me wished I could have stayed a few more days, while at the same time, I was naturally looking forward to finally seeing my wife again.
Since the weather was very unsettled, we spent the last few hours at my buddy’s place, just chatting about everything we’d experienced during my visit and what our next vacation might look like.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say the journey home was a disaster, but it was certainly heading in that direction. First, the flight was delayed by nearly an hour and a half, and then it took over an hour before I finally got my suitcase back. The whole situation with the luggage was incredibly annoying. As for the delayed flight, my friend—who had driven me to the airport—and I decided to make the best of it. We checked in my luggage early, grabbed some coffee, and headed to the nearest beach. We spent the entire time there until I had to head into the security area.
When I finally arrived home around 11 p.m., my wife was still waiting for me with a little something to eat. Once I’d satisfied my hunger, I unpacked my suitcase, chatted with my wife for a bit, and then it was off to bed.
Mission 80 (Day 116 = 88.1 kg / Goal = 80.0 kg / Initial weight = 90.0 kg / Total loss = 1.9 kg)
The day of horror has arrived! Today, for the first time in a long while, I stepped onto the scale. And lo and behold, it’s not quite as bad as I had feared. I felt an immediate sense of relief when I saw the 88.1 kilos. Now I’m motivated to shed those vacation pounds with plenty of discipline and get back on track soon.
Because of the cold I’ve been dealing with over the last few days, I’m going to hold off on exercising for a few more days. After all, I don’t want to risk developing myocarditis or anything similar.
Instead, I’m going to visit an acquaintance who is having trouble with his computer and reached out to me about it while I was on vacation.
I don’t yet know what else the day might bring. Perhaps I’ll go out to dinner with my wife when she gets home from work.
