🎙️𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐠🎙️
Un regalo de cumpleaños que le hice a mi mejor amiga, entre risas, calor y complicidad. Hay días en los que el universo parece ponerse de acuerdo para ponernos a prueba, y el día que decidí hacerle la sesión de fotos de cumpleaños a mi mejor amiga fue definitivamente uno de esos.
El clima de nuestra amada Maracaibo haciendo de las suyas con un calor implacable, el cansancio acumulado de la semana y, para rematar, la luz que decide irse justo cuando estás cuadrando los últimos detalles. Uno pensaría que es la receta perfecta para cancelar los planes, guardar la cámara y tirar la toalla. Pero cuando se trata de las personas que amas con el corazón, las excusas sobran y las ganas de celebrar la vida pueden más que todo.
Nos fuimos al Parque Vereda del Lago, entre el sudor y las carreras para aprovechar la tarde montamos nuestro improvisado estudio al aire libre.
La verdad es que no lo hice por compromiso, ni porque me tocara cumplir con el"favor de amiga". Lo hice porque, sencillamente, quería hacerla sentir hermosa y especial tal como ella es. Quería regalarle un espacio donde pudiera olvidarse de las inseguridades, donde se sintiera completamente cómoda, feliz y libre de ser ella misma.
Y vaya que valió la pena cada gota de sudor y cada carrera contra el reloj.
Cada clic de la cámara no solo capturaba una pose, sino risas genuinas, miradas cómplices y esa luz interior que ella tiene y que a veces olvida que posee. El entorno sacó lo mejor de ella: su autenticidad, su dulzura y esa chispa tan suya que ilumina todo a su alrededor.
Ver el resultado final fue pura magia. Las fotos quedaron increíble, sí, pero lo verdaderamente valioso no fue la técnica, la iluminación improvisada ni el escenario. Lo que me llenó el alma fue saber que logré mi cometido: hacerla feliz, regalarle un recuerdo que atesorará para siempre y recordarle, sin necesidad de muchas palabras, lo muchísimo que la amo.
A veces, los mejores regalos no son los que se envuelven en papel sino los ratos compartidos, la paciencia mutua y el amor puesto en los pequeños detalles.
Dicho esto, amo con todo a mi mejor amiga, y es hermoso verla cumplir sus 29 años, ya que la conozco desde sus 19 añitos y ha crecido tanto que me enorgullece.

A birthday gift I gave my best friend, amid laughter, heat, and a sense of camaraderie. There are days when the universe seems to conspire to put us to the test, and the day I decided to do a birthday photo shoot for my best friend was definitely one of those.
The weather in our beloved Maracaibo was up to its old tricks with relentless heat, the accumulated fatigue from the week, and, to top it all off, the light decided to fade just as I was finalizing the last details. You’d think that’s the perfect recipe for canceling plans, putting away the camera, and throwing in the towel. But when it comes to the people you love with all your heart, excuses are unnecessary, and the desire to celebrate life trumps everything else.
We headed to Vereda del Lago Park; between the sweat and the dashes to make the most of the afternoon, we set up our makeshift outdoor studio.
The truth is, I didn’t do it out of obligation, nor because I had to return a “favor for a friend.” I did it because, quite simply, I wanted to make her feel beautiful and special just as she is. I wanted to give her a space where she could forget her insecurities, where she’d feel completely comfortable, happy, and free to be herself.
And boy, was it worth every drop of sweat and every race against the clock.
Every click of the camera captured not just a pose, but genuine laughter, knowing glances, and that inner light she has—one she sometimes forgets she possesses. The setting brought out the best in her: her authenticity, her sweetness, and that spark that’s so uniquely hers and lights up everything around her.
Seeing the final result was pure magic. The photos turned out incredible, yes, but what was truly valuable wasn’t the technique, the improvised lighting, or the setting. What filled my soul was knowing that I’d achieved my goal: to make her happy, to give her a memory she’ll treasure forever, and to remind her—without needing many words—just how much I love her.
Sometimes, the best gifts aren’t the ones wrapped in paper but the moments we share, our mutual patience, and the love put into the little details.
That said, I love my best friend with all my heart, and it’s beautiful to see her turn 29, since I’ve known her since she was 19 and she’s grown so much that it makes me proud.
