Expanding My Bookshop & Hiring My FIRST Employee | Bookshop Simulator

Hey, hey! Sup everyone?

Personally, I couldn't wait for one more week to pass so I could return with another update on the bookshop I have created in Lyon, France, as this game is full of surprises and upgrades that unlock at almost every new level, which makes things so much fun and avoids becoming repetitive too quickly!

One of the major upgrades was hiring an employee whom I could ask to either be a cashier or handle the stock, such as making sure there is never going to remain an empty shelf.

Actually, I had a bit of doubt about whether it's too early to take this step or not, because although this employee will quickly prove how useful it can be, it also comes with daily new taxes to pay, along with rent and electricity.

So although I hated math as a kid, this time I had to be very careful and do a little analysis on the average earnings at the end of each day, to avoid not being able to pay the employee.

Happily, that was never the case, and that's why I also have no idea what would happen if you don't have enough money to pay him, but I guess after a couple of warnings you could end up losing him, which would be fair enough if you ask me.

Another upgrade I've made, which is not necessarily bringing any contribution to the overall bookshop but more to my guilty pleasure, was adopting a cat.

It was hard to pick, because there are more cats you can adopt in-game, but each of them comes with extra costs, so since I was still at the very beginning with the game, I decided to adopt just one, although I would have loved to get them all, lol.

Anyway, I know I already mentioned how much I enjoy being a cashier in this kind of games, but you'll notice that I've been quite active on the restocking part in this gameplay, and that's because I decided to reorganise everything and have an entire cabin with all 4 shelves filled with the same book.

Sadly, the employee won't fill the shelves with new books I get if I don't set up their selling price first and put at least one book on one or more shelves so he knows where to drop them and not add them randomly on other shelves they don't belong to.

So for this reason especially, I decided I would leave the employee to handle the easier part, but that's a thing that is going to change soon.

Did you play Bookshop Simulator before?

Thanks for bringing this game to my attention. I know a few people obsessed with books who would really dig it. Reminds me of TCG shop simulator (same publisher?) Cheers, thanks for the nice concise read
