Hey, hey! Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Today's new gameplay from Bookshop Simulator is taking things to the next level because, after quite a few in-game days running the store, it's finally time to add some new products to the shelves.
But before I got there, I still had to spend a couple more moments selling books and what was already available on the shelves so I could earn enough money for the license.
That, obviously, came as an opportunity to chill out a bit, let the employee carry all the boxes and make sure we always have enough books on the shelves, while I could serve the clients and handle the financial situation.
My employee's name is Jacob, and this is how it looks when you ask him to do other tasks, as well as his level on each task he's able to do, but also the daily wages, which will never stay the same.
That's mainly because the more he levels up, the bigger his salary expectations are, so he will need a promotion every once in a while.
One of the major upgrades, though, was to start selling bookmarks, because what bookstore is that without bookmarks?
Sadly, there are not plenty of options, but only around 6 or so, which doesn't cost much either, but they do make things a bit more entertaining when scanning the products purchased by the clients because if you scan only books, it becomes quite repetitive.
The 2nd big upgrade to the store was getting board games, which is something I see more and more becoming part of bookstores, although they don't have a direct relationship unless you see a board game that comes with characters from some specific books.
Anyways, I can't complain about it too much, as I am a big board game lover and I always have a look at these when entering a bookshop in real life, so it was pretty fun to have some of these on the shelves of my bookstore, especially since they are generally a lot more expensive than what I could sell a book for. Which means more money and faster upgrades in the near future!
