Today I’ll be bringing ya 4 tunes and doing a special band Spotlight on this #FourTuneFriday on #NinetiesFriday

From the year 1996 I’ll be sharing tunes from the band Failure. All tunes from the bands 1996 album (Fantastic Planet). I’ll also bring you a bonus jam from each of the bands earlier albums (1994 & 1992). I only learned today that the band themselves produced two of there three nineties albums, very uncommon practice and I must say for 1996’s Fantastic Planet it worked out well! It sounds great! I do wonder though if it could have even been better?

The band broke up in 1997 after Fantastic Planet tour run. The album sales increased quite a bit from the 1994 record and the label was pushing the band to record a follow-up but sadly the band was unable to do so. Two of the four members were heavy into drugs and couldn’t function so they broke up. That said they released a new album in 2014 and another in 2018 which was followed by another in 2021 & a brand new one in 2026. I’m not feeling the same vibe on these four albums but here’s one more bonus tune from latest!

Thanks for swinging by! Not any big hits this week but definitely a good band who deserved more love and attention. Stuck On You was a minor hit but this band commercially just didn’t get its due. This album should be in every single persons Alternative Rock Album collection!
