it's Tuesday so that means that for about and hour Nadi and I need to get out of the apartment for an hour or so while the cleaners do their thing. That probably makes me sound posh but I can assure you, the cleaners are not very good and it is a standard practice with serviced apartments that the cleaners come by once a week or so to spruce the place up a bit. It's actually supposed to be twice a week but I thought that was excessive so I pushed it back to just once a week. I don't like feeling obligated to leave my apartment even though I would probably do it anyway.
On this day, since it was overcast outside Nadi and I went to a breakfast place to eat at a new spot called Murphy's. It's just a few hundred meters from my house so that gives Nadi more than enough time to do peepeepoopoo as well.

I'm not going to rotate that. Use your imagination. Nadi sits calmly next to me anywhere I take her and that is why she is allowed almost anywhere. This particular place doesn't actually allow dogs, but they make and exception for her because she doesn't do anything except sit nearby me and probably fall asleep if I stayed here long enough.

You can see that I already broke one of the poached eggs and at least they did that properly but this doesn't change the fact that there is zero hollodaise sauce (ok computer, how DO I spell that word then?). To me the absence of the quintessential sauce makes this poached eggs on bread with tasteless rocket salad.
Honestly, a lot of restaurants in this city have apparently seen too many Gordon Ramsay shows and think that presentation is so important that you can just focus on that and not bother with whether or not the dish actually tastes like something.
I put a bunch of salt on it to make it taste as if it was made of something and just endured it. I would not order this dish ever again. I think the near complete lack of customers in the restaurant would indicate that everyone else kind of feels the same way.

I finished it because I was hungry and I have no food at my house in preparation for my very long holiday coming up but out of the 3 or so Eggs Benny that I have had since living here, this is likely the worst one. They are so preoccupado with presentation that they forgot (or simply don't know) that this is not what it says on the menu if they don't have all the ingredients. It would be like selling a BLT but not putting any tomato on it. Lame.

Somebody was happy to be here though and she ended up getting a bit of bacon, some whatever-the-hell-that-bread-was, and a bit of egg. So she's a happy doggo, that's for sure. I guess we'll give this place a pass because they were so kind to the hound. I won't be rushing back here to have breakfast in the future though, and that is a real shame since I really like the ambiance, the location, and the one owner that I met.
