Today I’d like to share some photos of the downtown area of the town of Sanare, located in the highlands of the Andes mountain range that runs through Lara State. Thanks to its geographical location, this town enjoys a very pleasant climate, with abundant rainfall most of the year.

Sanare is the capital of the Andrés Eloy Blanco Municipality and has enormous tourism potential due to the beauty of its natural landscapes, its cool climate, and the availability of lodging in the region.

It is an area where traditions have been preserved over the years, such as the famous “Fiesta de las Zaragosas,” during which, every December 28, the streets of Sanare are filled with people wearing colorful costumes, dancing to celebrate the Day of the Holy Innocents. This is the most representative traditional festival of the people in this area.

The streets of Sanare are lined with shops selling products harvested in the area, the main crop being coffee, which is of impressive quality. They also grow some vegetables, such as potatoes and carrots. The land is highly fertile, and the residents take advantage of these qualities to engage in agriculture, which is their main source of income.

The townspeople are always attentive and very talkative, and they’re always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Like in any town, when a visitor or tourist arrives, they quickly get to know them through their actions and questions.

The houses are very characteristic of the village; many of them are built in the traditional style, with bahareque walls—made of mud and straw—and roofs of criolla tiles, which keep them very cool.

Sanare is an excellent vacation destination to spend a few days breathing fresh air and enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery.

That concludes our tour of this pleasant place, which has been aptly named the “Garden of Lara” because of the lush greenery of its landscapes.

Conociendo el casco central de Sanare en el estado Lara

Saludos amigos de la comunidad de viajeros por el mundo, les deseo lo mejor en este día , que haya sido provechoso para todos.

En esta oportunidad les comparto imágenes de la zona central del pueblo de Sanare, ubicado en la parte alta de la cordillera de los Andes que atraviesa el estado Lara. Esta posición geográfica hace que este lugar tenga un clima bastante agradable, con abundantes precipitaciones la mayor parte del año.

Sanare es la capital del Municipio Andrés Eloy Blanco y tiene un enorme potencial turístico por la belleza de sus paisajes naturales, su fresco clima y la disponibilidad hotelera que hay en la región.

Es una zona donde las tradiciones se han mantenido a través de los años, tal como la famosa fiesta de las zaragosas, donde cada 28 de diciembre las calles de Sanare son invadidas por personas con vestimentas muy coloridas, danzando para celebrar el día de los santos inocentes. Esta es la fiesta tradicional mas representativa de los pobladores de esta zona.

Las calles de Sanare se ven llenas de negocios que comercializan los productos que se cosechan en la zona, siendo su principal cultivo el café, de una calidad impresionante. Además cultivan algunas hortalizas como la papa y la zanahoria. Sus tierras son altamente fértiles y los pobladores aprovechan estas cualidades para dedicarse a la agricultura que es su principal fuente de ingresos.

La gente del pueblo siempre atenta y muy conversadora, está siempre dispuestos a tenderle la mano a quien lo necesite. Como todo pueblo, cuando llega un visitante o turista enseguida lo conocen por sus acciones y por sus preguntas.

Las viviendas son muy características del poblado, fabricadas muchas de ellas con la arquitectura tradicional de paredes de bahareque -barro con paja- y techo de teja criolla, lo cual has hace muy frescas.

Sanare es una excelente alterativa en tiempo de vacaciones para pasar unos días respirando aire puro y disfrutando de los bellos paisajes de montaña.

Hasta aquí este recorrido por este agradable lugar, que han llamado con mucho acierto el "jardín de Lara", por el verdor de sus paisajes.
