Today, I’d like to share some photos of a school that was founded over a century ago and has been attended by mayors, presidents, and many other prominent figures from the Larense community.

This is La Salle School, located on Carrera 14 between Calles 28 and 29, right in the heart of the city of Barquisimeto. This school has been attended by several important figures, such as former President Rafael Caldera and former Mayor Raúl Colmenarez, among others.

I visited this school—specifically the indoor sports court—for an archdiocesan catechesis event and took the opportunity to capture these images.

The structure of this historic school remains intact, featuring colonial-style architecture with beautiful designs on its domes and staircases, which lend it a touch of distinction and elegance.

Inside, the school houses a chapel and a large library stocked with books on every subject; it also features a spacious central courtyard that serves as a sports area and parking lot. On a lower level, down the stairs, there is another sports court and a covered multipurpose court that is also used for social, athletic, and religious events.

This school is steeped in tradition and history. It has an excellent track record in terms of the quality of education it provides. The students graduate very well prepared, with the academic foundation needed to begin their college careers.

The atmosphere within the school’s facilities encourages studying and fosters concentration. The shade of the trees is ideal for a moment of relaxation.

Conociendo el colegio La Salle de Barquisimeto

Saludos a todos los viajeros de esta comunidad @worldmappin, que nos permite cada día conocer diferentes lugares de la geografía mundial.

En esta oportunidad les muestro algunas imágenes de un colegio que tiene mas de un centenario de años de fundado y por donde han pasado alcaldes, presidentes y muchas otras personalidades de la sociedad larense.

Se trata del colegio la Salle, ubicado en la carrera 14 entre calles 28 y 29 en pleno centro de la ciudad de Barquisimeto. Este colegio ha visto pasar a varias personalidades importantes como el expresidente Rafael Caldera, el ex alcalde Raul Colmenarez, entre otros.

Estuve de visita en este colegio, específicamente en la cancha techada, en una actividad de la catequesis arquidiocesana y aproveché de captar estas imágenes.

La estructura de este antiguo colegio se mantiene intacta, con su arquitectura de estilo colonial con bonito diseño en sus cúpulas y escaleras, que le dan ese toque de distinción y elegancia.

Internamente el colegio alberga una capilla y una extensa biblioteca dotada de libros de todas las especialidades, también posee un extenso patio central que es usado como área deportiva y estacionamiento. En otro nivel inferior, bajando las escaleras está otra cancha deportiva y la cancha múltiple techada que es usada también para actos sociales, deportivos y religiosos.

Este colegio está lleno de tradiciones e historia. Cuenta con un excelente historial en cuanto al nivel de la enseñanza que allí se imparte. Los chicos salen muy bien preparados, con un nivel académico adecuado para iniciar sus carreras en la universidad.

El ambiente que se siente dentro de sus instalaciones, invita al estudio y estimula la concentración. La sombra de los árboles es ideal para una momento de relajación.
